In the past few months I’ve had many a near miss, it just seems that the ability to drive on the roads in the UK has been lost on some people (or maybe it’s just the summer weather!).Nonetheless, I decided I needed some sort of protection from the silly manoeuvres being pulled and decided to find a relatively inexpensive dashcam.There are hundreds, if not thousands of examples of dashcams on Amazon, so sifting through the good from the bad – especially given the vast ranging in price, some at more than £300! Being new to all this, I decided to settle on one at the lower end to give it a try.Overall my impressions from the first week driving are very good, the unit does have a built-in battery (I saw a review that said otherwise), however this is only used for initial setup as well as if the car is off and detects motion – as opposed to always being used on a battery.It’s a good quality image and comes with enough cable to route around the trim of the windscreen and into the car cigarette lighter; although I would like to get around to hard wiring it at some point, so I can make use of the cigarette lighter to charge my phone again.I’ve tried playing back a few clips by taking the Micro SD out of the unit, and these play well on VLC, quality overall is to be expected - it’s never going to be on par with a high end GoPro), but at the same time number plates are visible and it’s more than adequate if you were to have any kind of incident.Overall, great quality bit of kit for not much money.

This Dashcam is Wide Angle lens 4 x Wide Digital Zoom .I am pleased with this camera though there’s lot other products in market I’ve prompted to get this for the price and features. Installation of the Dash cam isn’t hard as you assume in fact its one time setup as you too similar to phone holder and ignore it. It needs car either car charger to power up, so dash cam does start recording when the engine starts. Does need a battery so it can run on its own. I know what you thinking of now, if you end up of space on SD card, don’t worry I tested it already. It over rights OLD recording but does lock few videos if in case it detects car got any jerks by accidents. That’s the good feature I liked it. So the videos are safe in case any things happens to Car and notices motion.Quality of recording is very good as it does at 1080P and 170 degrees wide angel. I love watching how‘s my driving all time now. And the night vision helps a lot as it’s very hard to catch the opponent if something goes wrong. 3inch LCD is quite good and sits under the mirror and so it doesn’t obstruct the view while driving. Over all its lot more features. Will know the benefits while you keep using it. Do comes with few accessories that needed to hold the DASHCAMVery pleased with the product, and sure recommend the product and thanks to seller.I like the size its very beautifully designed.Hope my review helped you...

You get what you pay for with this camera. Satisfied with this purchase, but not blown away.Pros:-Cheap-Reliable-Easy to setup-Includes a solid suction mount AND a 3M sticky mount for more permanent placement-The suction mount is secure when carefully installed (For whatever reason, I DID have the suction fall on me after the first few minutes it was up, sending the camera crashing down. No damage appears to have been done)-I bought an SD card in the store, came out and popped it in, and it worked right off the bat, no special formatting needed. Pulled the card out and plugged it into a card reader and video files play natively.-The small overall footprint can hide it behind the mirror and pretty much forget that its there.Cons:-32GB card can only hold about 4 hours of data. Turning sound off doesn't help this. Not particularly Useful for 8 hour driving days.-The menus are extremely basic, the included manual doesn't explain much, and there's a link to a video of how to use a similar but higher-end version of this camera.Overall, if you simply want a functional dash cam and don't want to spend a fortune, this is a good camera. I will probably hard wire install it, and if I find that I use the dash cam a lot, I will probably ditch this camera and upgrade to a more expensive one, using the same SD card and wire. Not a bad starter camera at all. May end up moving it to the rear window when I upgrade the front window camera.

We may have one of the only cars (a Mazda CX-5) that has no "cigarette lighter" in the front, but that's the lead that this dash cam came with. Several types of USB lead later (the CX-5 has 2xUSB ports) I gave up, because it just would not stop thinking it was connected to a computer, so utterly refused to record, just wanted to play back!The company's web site didn't list this model and was utterly useless in terms of support - I was NOT going to ring China for customer service.Returned it and got a Nextbase instead (much, much better, with very good customer service and it actually works!)

I purchased this on a whim that it would do the job for my wife's car. The packaging is very plain but well done with clearly translated instructions included for the basic uses of the camera. Even with the properly translated instructions I was able to get the camera up and running without any issues. Image quality is very clear and the angle of recording means you'll get a fender to fender view of what's in front of you. Very good detail and easy to see the number plates of the cars in front in case there was an accident.
