CULINARE Egg Separator

I see that two reviewers have complained that, when using this egg separator, their yolks have slipped through the gaps. I have used a range of different sized hens eggs and have struggled to do this - for me it works perfectly every time - although it is possible if you tip the thing at a 45 degree plus angle.The Culinare egg separator is small, well made, and easy to clean. One end is designed to hook onto the edge of a receptacle into which the egg white falls. It will hook onto a straight or curved edge but the edge cannot be too thick - a drinking glass or a cup will do, but not a chunky walled mug.

It can’t hold eggyolk to the center. Eggyolk passes through the big holes.

Not good at all the yolk doesn't stay in. The gaps are set too far apart allowing it to slip through. A waste of money for me 😡

Waste of money. Better off just seperating your yolks the old fashioned way using the shells.I have used this for over 28 eggs, as I eat four a day, it has only caught one yolk. Does not seperate anything. Yolks slide straight through the holes as the holes are way too big.

The yolk quite often slid through the gaps if I didn't top it out quickly enough

Haven't used it yet but it looks good & Im sure it will do exactly what it should
