This small 6w solar panel actually did charge my phone.I was really doubting it would...It charged it from 32% to 100% in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours.Ran a 5watt fan just fine.It does need strong sunlight for the phone and the fan, however, for smaller devices like rechargeable lightbulbs and lights, it works great, too!They are small and esthetically pleasing.The only thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is that, the parts should placed more towards the center of the back of the panel.This would protect the cable and port from sun heat and accidental damage.Good product to have for beach, camping, every day use and power outage.It can also be used as booster for solar string lights.Also does a great job charging power banks.I will keep testing these panels and updating this review as I use them.For the price, it is a great deal!

Because of their relatively low power output, these have a narrow window of potential uses, but within that window they are a relatively sturdy and reliable way to trickle charge devices. Strap one to your backpack and charge your phone while hiking or camping, leave one on the dash of your car to maintain an emergency battery pack, jump starter, or air pump, or build one into a custom project. With a little DIY, you could even wire them together in series or parallel. Just be aware these won't charge big batteries, power stuff in real time, or put out much at all in anything but strong sunlight.

These work really well with my greenhouse mini fans

I bought these to try to use With my Arlo cameras that are mounted outside under the eaves of my house. These work really well charging the outside cameras. The Arlo version of a solar charger is about 60+ dollars. This save me some bucks and worked like a charm. PS I use the cable that came with the Arlo camera. It was a perfect fit.
