A thoughtful interactive guide to help children
This thoughtful divorce guide helps children process big emotions through interactive writing prompts and simple activities. While the intentionally childlike drawings (which look like kids' artwork) might seem unsophisticated, they likely help young readers feel more connected. The real strength lies in its psychologist-approved approach that gives both parents and kids the right words during this difficult transition.

Simple, Supportive, So Helpful
I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, just something that could help explain things to my 5-year-old in a way that wouldn’t scare him. This book did exactly that. It was gentle and direct. The activities helped keep him engaged, and I found myself learning how to answer his questions better just by reading it with him. It gave both of us emotional clarity at a time when we really needed it.

Big Feelings, Big Changes—Made Easier
The Kids' Book of Family Changes is like a warm hug and a flashlight rolled into one. It helps kids make sense of life’s shake-ups (like divorce) without feeling lost. Full of fun activities, silly-yet-serious feelings talk, and grown-up tips that actually help, it turns “What now?” into “We’ve got this.” Gentle, smart, and full of heart.

A Compassionate Guide for Kids and Parents
In addition to difficulties of the adult part of divorce, dealing with the kid difficulties part of divorce is also tough on parents, on kids, and on their family and family friends. This book provides a good path for parents or their families to help the kids. The real benefit of this book is that it helps the adults understand how to talk to the kid. They dont understand things the same as adults and it can be heartbreaking when you try to help but really do not know how. The interactive activities, such as drawing and writing prompts that engage children and help them express their emotions in a fun way, are incredibly useful. It also provides practical guidance for the adults to strengthen the bonds with the affected children and find a sense of safety together. I think it is a compassionate guide for adults that provides valuable tools during a difficult time.
