Serves the purpose if kept updated
The book does feature state parks as advertised, but it’s limited in content and doesn’t include all parks in a particular state. I wish they included a snapshot of each park- no photos whatsoever. Phone numbers are appreciated but I suspect many are numbers have been discontinued. Directions given are adequate with brief blurb for each park. It’s the type of information that needs to be updated almost yearly to be useful.

Upside down?
There is a lot of good information in this book. We will use it a lot. However, it is printed upside down. The cover is printed one way and the contents are printed the opposite way. Much of the print at the bottom of the page runs off and cannot be read. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Very helpful book
We are planning a trip and this book was very helpful as it shows each state with a map that shows the state campgrounds. In addition, there is a small blurb about each state park/campground with number of sites and if water, electric, or full hookups are available. We checked this book first then went online to book the site.

Great resource!
We prefer to stay state, national and COE parks when traveling in our RV. This is a great resource to use if you are camping. We have found our favorite places to stay are in these parks and this book listed the parks and their facilities. Just planned our next trip to the southern US. Excited to use this in future again

Habe dieses Buch während meiner einjährigen USA-Kanada-Rundreise mit dem eigenen Wohnmobil vielfach genutzt. Die Stateparks in den Staaten haben ausnahmslos Top-Campgrounds und sind zudem noch deutlich günstiger, als die privaten RV-Parks. Das Buch ist eine absolute Empfehlung für USA-Reisende, die eine Campingreise machen.

Although I have personally not used this book yet on the road to do any research I have read through quite a bit of it and it is a very in-depth guide for the state parks I am really looking forward to using it next summer when I’m out travelling with my RV.
