The glass of the flute is very thick

I have always believed that champagne should be drunk from a very thin glass flute. These are not thin glass flutes. They have very thick glass. OK to drink from, obviously, but not for me. The glass is as thick as a beer glass. I can't send them back because I need them for a celebration tonight. But, please note, if you want thin glass, pay a bit more.
