This kit comes with excellent instructions. If you follow them, you will find this cross stitch project easy and enjoyable. I am going to include lots of pictures to help you understand how to work it. This is an 11ct pattern, so we use 3 strands.The thread colors are very close in hue on the color wheel. The instructions tell you to use (1.)the Color/Symbol Code key stamped on the side of the canvas and (2.)the colored photo pamphlet with the Letter Code key, included in the kit. As others have mentioned, the printed colors on the canvas do not match the threads. This is a GREAT design feature. The bold colors and distinct patterned codes stamped on the canvas are easy to differentiate. Use the keys to select the color then use the symbol/color code to cross stitch. For example, I started with the brown color 780, which is the letter key C as displayed on the enclosed color picture. This corresponds to the solid bright blue squares on the canvas which are easy to distinguish. See the photos. If the canvas was stamped with the actual colors of the thread, it would be a nightmare to distinguish the coded stitches.The stamped canvas is very thick and stiff. It was extremely difficult for me to hoop it. I had to remove the screw from the hoop, use my weight/arms to wrestle the hoop over the canvas, then replace the screw and turn it while forcing the hoop to stay in place. It was a real struggle. IMO, they should include a 6” hoop specifically designed for this thick canvas. I tried stitching on this canvas without a hoop and it was too awkward to enjoy. I need the hoop.I enjoy the tiny stitch, detailed color key and whimsical design of this project. I will definitely be ordering other kits from this company.

Very cute needlepoint, but the instructions are not very clear. Also, I had to buy additional DMC thread because there was not enough in the kit for some specified colors.

The media could not be loaded. This was the first cross stitch I have done printed on the canvas. I have to say I really enjoyed the ease of it & the accuracy of the printed pattern. The price was extremely reasonable and the end result was beautiful. I have not washed the ink off yet and will update when I do. The threads are beautiful with a photo not doing them justice. The canvas is a bit stiff when you start but gets softer as you work on it. The kit provides a good sized needle and a paper pattern for reference if needed. Overall a great experience. I’m eager to try another one.

Very cute pattern. Everything is included. The threads are a little linty but not enough that I wouldn’t purchase again. I liked that the fabric was so starched that I didn’t need a hoop. The color coded printed fabric made it so easy to follow. Very enjoyable piece.
