Very strong for me, but does help with the flaking
I bought this for my seborrehic dematitis. I have it in my eyebrows, ear canals, sides of my nose and cheeks. I also have it on my scalp, but do not use the ointment in my hair. I find it works very well for the flaking/crusty areas. However, it is so strong that I feel like clawing my skin off because of the severe itching it causes. Am experimenting with how long to leave it on before washing off. Also considering diluting it somehow. It has a very strong smell, so I only apply it at night before bedtime.

Old fashioned remedy that works
Very effective on dry skin, such as on my forearms. A little bit goes a long way, and be advised that a tiny amount will give off a coal tar odor. Personally, though I like that odor, even though most people these days can’t even identify the scent. Most importantly, it lubricates the skin.

Smelllllly
I couldn’t handle the smell. I didn’t use it, it may work great but the smell was so strong I couldn’t touch it. Let alone put it on my feet and leave it there for an extended time. I opened the jar and my room smelled for hours.

Good working product
I have used this product for years and it does the job for my skin condition. Not pricey, no bad smell and won’t stain your clothes. It works

Works immediately But very temporary.
UPDATE:So I had to take a couple stars away. Becuz as great as I thought this treatment was, the scaling Comes right back within a day or 2, So heck, I can buy cortisone for a dollar and it does the same thing. So I am disappointed to a point. I guess you have to keep putting this stuff on several times a day for the rest of your life to keep it off.So all these fancy creams and stuff are just a waste of money.The white Scaly skin is gone After just a couple applications but came back, it's still in my ears but it has calmed down. I still have the red spots, I will update after a month if the red spots are gone or not.It does not stink. It's a little greasy because it's an ointment.

Saved the stress I was having g with my hair
I’m my journey of trying to find products that do t weight my hair down but helps my scalp from flaking. I have all the symptoms of seborrhoeic dermatitis but have yet to be diagnosed. I get flakes ok my face in my eyebrows and in my hair. I use to never be able to keep a hair style for more than 7 days without giants sized flakes. There was one time I had to take down a head full of fresh braids because what ever the braiders used to braid my hair had my hair on fire.I not to long ago my oldest son has the similar issue with his scalp.We’ve been using the prescription strength shampoo, but it never would last. This product has help extend my hair styles and reduced my scalp flakes and inflammation. I also noticed when my scalp has less flakes. My face has less redness and inflammation.It has also helped my son with his hair and flakes as well
