Not new

Probably the most unique video shooting camera I've used. Noting that my use case is a bit different as I don't really use this as an action cam but more for lifestyle/casual type videos to share with friends and family. As a first time 360 cam user, I can say both the x4 and insta360 software are easy to use. The one "hurdle" a new user needs to be aware of is that there is a workflow involved (ie. You need to shoot, review, edit, export before you can share or upload) With that said, the resulting video is unmatched as it provides a unique perspective of not just what you wanted to shoot at the time, but rather your entire environment in the moment. I ordered both the X3 about a week before the X4 was announced and kept the X4 as the added features are worth the extra few bills in my opinion. The 8k vs 5.7k is a noticeable difference in quality, and changeable lens guards give me peace of mind that I won't scratch the lens easily. 5 stars as it does everything I hoped it'd do, and the software is the easy and intuitive (thank you insta360 for making the app/editor free and not fall victim to subscription based software!). I plan to edit this review should anything notable comes up (ex. After bringing it on a vacation or hiking/biking)

I'll admit, I am a big fan of this company and have been using their cameras since 2017 (although I do have a lot of cameras from other manufacturers too!). If I have the funds available (I skipped the X2) I will always invest in their new release as they are continually raising their game with every product launch and the X4 is no exception. I don't publish a lot of my stuff as I film for personal reasons and memories but I have attached an animated photo that took of a dimly lit interior of a historic Scottish church. Lots of cameras would have struggled in these conditions but the X4 excelled! The animation was also extremely easy to do in the Insta360 Studio software which is provided free. I have mine paired with the Insta360 GPS preview remote so that if I have it mounted on a 3m pole I can easily see what is going on and start/stop recording a lot easier than having to hold a phone and do it (the remote can be wristmounted or attached to the pole). Used on its own, the camera is extremely easy to use. All of the automatic settings will give amazing results but if you want to dabble with the manual settings then you can get exceptional results. I have been involved in photography/videography for many years and would give you these tips: 1. Get to know your camera... make mistakes and learn from them. If you have an important occasion coming up that you want to record, then practise, practise, practise beforehand and double, if not triple check your settings before hitting record. 2. Think about your mounts if used on a vehicle. You will see a lot of people complaining about breaking their selfie-sticks - almost every time it will be because of bad practice and lack of understanding of physics. Think about leverage, vibration and if in doubt, tether! 3. Protect your glass. The X4 has removable lens protectors which should be used in an action environment. I have had eight 360 cameras over the years and have NEVER damaged a lens , even in action environments. From a photography background I have been brought up respecting my glass. I always shoot with a naked lens if I can as this gives best results but there are plenty of accessories available to help you if you are shhoting in a harsh environment. 4. Respect your camera - although advertised as an action camera, you should still respect it as a piece of photographic equipment and show it some care and respect. The number of posts I have seen about lenses being cracked/cameras being broken as the tripod they mounted on fell over is amazing. If you are looking at buying this as a first 360 camera then I absolutely recommend it. Easy to use and amazing, easily obtainable results. If you are looking to upgrade from an X3 then I would say yes too (I did!) The X3 is awesome but the X4 is awesomerer!

Ich bin absolut begeistert von der Insta360! Diese Kamera ist wirklich ein ausgereiftes Produkt und bietet alles, was man sich von einer Action- und 360-Grad-Kamera wünschen kann. Die Bild- und Videoqualität ist herausragend – die Farben sind lebendig, die Details sind gestochen scharf, und die Stabilisierungstechnologie sorgt dafür, dass jedes Video, egal wie hektisch das Szenario, unglaublich ruhig und professionell aussieht. Besonders beeindruckend ist die 360-Grad-Funktion, die es einem ermöglicht, Aufnahmen aus jeder Perspektive zu machen, ohne sich um den Bildausschnitt kümmern zu müssen. Die Handhabung der Kamera ist intuitiv, und sie liegt dank des kompakten Designs gut in der Hand. Das Menü ist übersichtlich, und selbst als Anfänger hat man schnell den Dreh raus. Die Akkulaufzeit ist ebenfalls sehr gut und reicht für längere Aufnahmesessions. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Insta360-App. Sie ist perfekt auf die Kamera abgestimmt und bietet eine Vielzahl von Funktionen, mit denen man die Videos noch weiter bearbeiten und personalisieren kann. Die App lässt sich super einfach bedienen, und die automatische Bearbeitung von Videos ist einfach genial – man kann im Handumdrehen beeindruckende, professionelle Ergebnisse erzielen, ohne viel Aufwand. Alles in allem ist die Insta360 ein absoluter Traum für alle, die nach einer vielseitigen, robusten und qualitativ hochwertigen Kamera suchen. Sie hat meine Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen, und ich kann sie jedem empfehlen, der sowohl auf der Suche nach einer großartigen Action-Kamera als auch nach einer 360-Grad-Lösung ist. Ein perfektes Gesamtpaket – klare 5 Sterne und mehr!

Encore une fois, un superbe produit ! C'est ma première caméra 360, et également produit Insta360 acheté. Je suis vraiment impressionné par la qualité de conception de cette caméra et de ses accessoires. Quel confort de pouvoir filmer sans se soucier du cadrage, surtout lorsque l'on utilise une perche de trois mètres. J'ai toujours trouvé que les caméras 360 grand public étaient peu abouties, mais là, nous avons franchi un cap. Je l'ai utilisée dans un cadre professionnel pour des visites virtuelles de chantiers extérieurs. Je pense que cette caméra est plus adaptée pour une utilisation en extérieur, car son capteur nécessite beaucoup de lumière. Cependant, le modèle de gamme supérieure, qui lui est doté d'un capteur de un pouce, devrait également bénéficier d'améliorations il y a de grandes chances que je franchisse le pas si les rumeurs sont exacts, car ce sera vraiment un atout supplémentaire pour pour les films en intérieur. Quoi qu'il en soit, cette caméra X4 est indispensable pour moi, car je pense qu'elle me sera utile même dans des conditions plus extrêmes, et certainement dans dans des conditions de météo défavorable, ce qui est possible grâce a son étanchéité, ce que le modèle de un pouce ne peut pas encore proposer aujourd'hui. En tout cas, d'après ma petite expérience, même si ce n'est pas encore parfait, c'est déjà très bien pour une caméra à 600 €. Donc, pour ceux qui ont le budget, foncez ! De plus, avec Amazon, qui est aujourd'hui un des seuls à proposer ça nous permet de retourner le produit sans poser trop de problème, mais je doute que vous vouliez vous en séparer une fois essayée.
