Meet Dexter, half-Einstein and half third grader. This boy genius creates awesome inventions in the secret space-age laboratory attached to his room, but no genius is without trouble. Dexter's space-brained sister, Dee Dee is always messing up his work, and his dorky rival, Mandark is constantly trying to one-up him. Time to fight fir with...science. Review: Amazing collection of this classic cartoon - I got this on sale for about $30 since it is a dvd. However it is one of the only complete physical collection of dexters lab. The cels have not been remastered do they work fine as a dvd and if you use a 4k blu ray player the upscaling is not bad at all. In fact it looks great for a dvd. I beleive this is all of the episodes on dvd, it's not like an ed Edd n eddy situation where the specials were left out? In any case, it's worth a buy if you are a physical media collector. Review: Great Show! - The item arrived in great condition, discs seem to be in good shape. The only issue I think I have with the packaging is that the little tabs holding the discs are tough and make it difficult to pull the DVDs out without feeling like the disc will break also.

Classic Cartoon Network Series that keeps going and going
My kids loved Dexter's Laboratory when it ran on Cartoon Network. As they got older we loved watching Season One which was the only season we could find on DVD. This set of every season is a jewel in our DVD collection that the entire family still can enjoy together. Rendering is clear and the sound is good. As DVDs we are able to bring them in the car on trips. They definitely make the driving time pass more quickly. What a fine day for science - and Dexter's Laboratory on DVD.

Missing an episode, otherwise good.
"Complete". Missing "Barbequor". Why? Also could have included "Rude Removal"...but maybe they didn't have the rights to it, as it was never aired. Otherwise, it's nice to have these in high quality. Order is a bit off. There were only 4 seasons. Seasons 1 and 2 are the best (which finish with Ego Trip). Seasons 3 and 4 were when Cartoon Network used it as a cash cow. Lower quality animation (especially season 3) and weak story plots. But I'm not here to criticize Dexter's Laboratory... Worth picking up if you're a fan of the series.

Almost Whole Series is Here, But Weird Black Line Issue With Masters
The DVD set is a great one to have since you can finally have a majority of the series at the palm of your hands (especially since "Ego Trip" is included on the 12th disc). However, there are caveats to this set: 1) The episodes "Dial M for Monkey: Barbequor" and "Rude Removal" are unsurprisingly not a part of this set. The former episode had some trouble with Marvel as the Silver Spooner was a bit too close to the Silver Surfer, and the latter was banned since it wasn't really deemed as an episode that could go on air for the kid friendly Cartoon Network. These episodes are pretty easy to find elsewhere, however. 2) When compared to the old Season 1 DVD set, a bunch of the episodes in this new set have this weird black bar issue on the bottom right of the screen (see attached photos). The good news is that this weird issue only seems to impact some of the episodes within the first two discs (what the set designates as Season 1) as well as the first three episodes of Season 2 (specifically "Beard to Be Feared", "Quackor: The Fowl", and "Ant Pants"). From what I have tested, the rest of the DVD set lacks this black line issue (you can see some of the edges of the frames in some of the other episodes, however), so I guess Warner Bros. had issues with the recordings for most of the episodes in the first season. As such, if this is a deal breaker for your DVD set, then the simplest solution is to just grab the Season 1 DVD set for the better looking 1st season and this complete series set for the later seasons (even though that would add an extra $15 or so to your overall order). 3) Episode order matches that of what the show had on Max, not the original ordering that the show had when it aired on TV (so, what you'd see on the TVDB). 4) "Dexter's Rival" and "Dexter's Lab: A Story" are duplicated on this set. The former appears on discs 1 and 2 while the latter appears on discs 2 and 6. This is likely due to "Barbequor" being banned as that issue occurred in the S1 DVD set that was released years ago. 5) One episode had the intro sequence (the usual intro where Dee Dee dances into Dexter's lab) played with a lower pitch. The rest of the episode has the correct pitch, however, so I'm unsure why only the intro was affected. Overall, I like this set, but its image quality isn't as good as the Powerpuff Girls set that was released a bit before it or the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends set from the prior year. I imagine that Warner Bros. is working with the masters that they managed to preserve (as Dexter's Lab is from '96 while PPG is '98 and Foster's is from '04), but that whole black line issue didn't exist in the older S1 set. Still, I'm glad that the series is FINALLY complete for home releases (barring the two banned episodes) as it was removed from HBO Max for some dumb reason. Definitely worth grabbing to have continuous access to the show at this point! I hope Johnny Bravo comes next!

I can't complain about this box set. It's everything you want of dexter. A cool bonus would have been adding some behind the scenes on the animation and creator

Been wanting for the full season for quite some time. And now for the first time ever, all the episodes, including the special episode is included in this classic Cartoon collection. First time being released all at once on DVD for the first time. Looking forward to do a marathon of this funny show and relive some childhood memories ^^

One of my favourite childhood series but for $70+ the packaging is awful and I expected more. The plastic pegs holding the discs are awkward, it felt like I was going to snap the first disc just by trying to remove it. It’s hard to explain but I kind of had to squeeze the pegs together while pushing the disc towards me to remove it and to put it back on the pegs, you have to angle it onto one peg then slide it and push down to put in place. I foresee them breaking in the future. Also the episode guide is printed a flimsy double sided piece of paper, I expected a nice booklet for the cost. 5 star show plagued by 1 star packaging, makes it a 3 out of 5.
