I've had the privilege to meet Jessica Walliser on several occasions and hear her speak several times, most recently on Container Gardening, which inspired me to purchase this book. Based on the ideas in this book, and most specifically the container soil recipes included, I decided to grow all of my veggies this year in containers. People....I've never had success like this! Between the plant recommendations that are appropriate for containers, the different types of containers that can be used, and oh my goodness the soil recipes! LIFE CHANGING! I will never buy bagged potting soil again! There are great projects for making and creating your own containers, and some awesome suggestions for annuals, perennials, bulbs, small trees and shrubs and of course vegetables and fruits. The pictures are beautiful and if you don't become inspired to container garden after reading this book, I have to wonder what happened to you to lose your gardening mojo!

A good guide for all kinds of growing in containers. Examples of plant combinations and ‘how to’ make various containers. Good section on garden pests and diseases. I was looking for specifics on vegetable gardening in containers so only part of the book was relevant.

This was a gift for my wife and she loves this book. It’s clear, informative and has a great set of pictures. Definitely a must have if container garden is your thing. It’s an excellent reference.

WOW!!! I bought one for myself, and then ordered 5 more as gifts. Jessica is equally informative and entertaining. The pictures bring everything to life and there are tons of them. It's a coffee table book and how-to guide -- very modern looking and a great value. I can't wait for spring to try some of these ideas. I don't have time for a full garden, but a few containers I can do. The step-by-step instructions are like YouTube videos in a book. You will not be sorry - buy one for yourself and everyone you know. It's gender neutral, age neutral and sure to please!

As a gardener, I have a lot of gardening books. But what I don’t as a suburban gardener is a lot of ground space. This book is an excellent resource for container planting, and it goes above and beyond “thriller, filler & spiller” design! Full-color photographs, project instructions and exceptionally handy recommendations, in chart form, for annual, perennials, herbs, flowers, veggies etc. I also love the soil volume guide. A true reference book for serious gardeners.
