Great entry level drone
I would highly recommend the DJI Mini 4K, it's considered an exceptional entry-level drone, delivering professional-quality 4K video capture and a stable flight experience in a regulation-friendly sub-250g package. Users appreciate its value and long-range transmission system but note key compromises such as the complete absence of obstacle avoidance sensors, which demands careful piloting. Despite minor camera performance issues in challenging lighting, its robust basic feature set and ease of use make it a highly recommended choice for a first drone.

Best Drone
love this DJI Mini 4K drone! It’s super easy to fly, even for a beginner like me. The camera takes awesome 4K videos and clear photos of my hikes around New Hampshire. It stays steady in the wind and flies up to 20 minutes on one battery. Folds small to pack in my bag for trips, and the app makes takeoff and landing a breeze. No fancy sensors, but that keeps it cheap and fun to learn on. Get extra batteries though! 5 stars - best starter drone for the price. Highly recommend!

Perfect for first timers
This drone is super easy to operate. It just plugs into your phone and it comes with adapters. The only complaint is that the phone case has to come off for example on an iPhone 16 the cord will not plug into the phone all the way so we just have to take the phone case off every time we want to use it. Has pretty good wind durability, and it’s actually quieter than I thought it would be. The camera lens is good quality because the video is really clear and there’s no lack between what the drone is doing and what you’re seeing on the screen. One battery only really does last about 30 minutes. It flies pretty fast and the auto landing is very helpful because I don’t need to worry about slamming it into the ground and breaking it.

Incredible Value for the Price — Punches Way Above Its Weight
The DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo is an outstanding drone, especially considering how affordable it is for what you get. The 4K UHD camera produces sharp, stable footage thanks to the 3-axis gimbal, and the video quality easily rivals drones that cost significantly more. The Fly More Combo is where this really shines—three batteries delivering up to 93 minutes of total flight time is huge, and the 10km video transmission is rock solid. Features like Auto Return and QuickShots make it easy to fly and capture great footage even if you’re not an experienced pilot. The fact that it stays under 249g is another big win. The only real downside is the lack of collision detection. You definitely need to stay alert and fly smart, especially around trees or obstacles. That said, given the price point, it’s an understandable tradeoff. Overall, this drone is an absolute steal for what it offers. Fantastic performance, great battery life, excellent camera quality—just be mindful of your surroundings while flying. Easily a 5-star product for value and capability.

Perfect First Drone for Personal Use and Content Creation
The DJI Mini 4K is an excellent drone for personal use, especially if you are just getting started. This was my first drone, and I was impressed by how easy it is to fly thanks to its stable controls and beginner-friendly features. The lightweight design makes it very convenient to carry, and the safety functions give you confidence while learning. For content creation, this drone performs incredibly well. The 4K video quality is sharp and smooth, allowing you to capture beautiful aerial shots for social media and personal projects. Battery life is solid, the connection is reliable, and overall it offers outstanding performance for its price. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use drone to start your journey, the DJI Mini 4K is a great choice.

Great drone, software could be much better
First, let's cover the hardware. DJI has clearly put a lot of thought and engineering into making a compact, flyable drone that's easily transportable. Fit and finish on the various components is excellent, and the fact that the drone folds into a compact package for transport makes taking it along with you a snap. No complaints at all in those areas. The fly more combo is a "must have" in my opinion, as it'll help you keep flying rather than spending too much of your time waiting for batteries to charge, or having to order extra propeller blades in the event of a minor crash. The software, however, is another story. Does it work well? Yes. It's really a pleasure for the flying aspects. It's dead easy for a beginner (that was both the wife and I) to successfully take off, fly the drone successfully, and land. I had bought it for her as a gift, and we're both new to drone flying, so that was a real plus, and quite frankly, the place where the software was most useful. What is not very useful is the lack of documentation that came with the drone regarding that software. There's little in the way of additional information that proved immediately useful. Many terms aren't clearly defined, as regards how they are used in the software, and it took a considerable amount of extra Internet research to figure out what was meant. In addition, the Android version of the software appears to have been adapted from what was originally developed for use on Apple's IOS devices like iPhones and iPads. On Android, using a Pixel 4 as the controller display, the single most annoying aspect was lack of a clearly indicated means of leaving the app. Add to that the fact that it's unclear just what certain software controls are meant to do, at all, and frustration levels quickly mount. Especially difficult was attempting to determine just where photos and videos are being stored. Are they stored on the internal memory or the micro SD card? Can't really tell. How does one move information from one to the other? How do you get the drone to download to a PC via the USB cable? And worse, considering the entire purpose of the software beyond flying is to be able to retrieve footage you've recorded in flight, how do you successfully get all your photos and videos onto the SD card in order to be able to just copy it from the micro SD to a computer of some sort? That particular adventure took another couple of hours of Internet search, watching instructional videos, and trial-and-horror. And no, that's NOT a misspelling of "error". So... What should one expect? First, plan on spending a lot of time figuring out software for virtually every aspect of use with the exception of actually flying the drone. I'd recommend you do a lot of reading about it on the Internet (and watching videos to see what it looks like in practice). Second, DJI should seriously evaluate their UI. Far too much has been crammed into a single app. And far too little is provided in terms of documentation of the steps to accomplish many of the non-flying functions. Third, DJI should recognize that not all users are familiar with (or even like) the IOS sort of approach to software design. Fourth, the software should make retrieving one's photos and video footage the absolute clearest and easiest beyond that portion of the app used in flying. I think it would benefit all users if the portion of the app that handles files and file transfers was made separate from that used in configuring or flying the aircraft. Fifth, why not make ALL the data the drone is collecting easily available for use by the purchaser? I have seen reference to flight data, for example, being recorded by the aircraft, but have not found a ready means of downloading it. It would be nice to be able to analyze that data using commonly available software tools to see just how well, for example, what one thought one flew matches with what the flight actually was. While we've got lots of criticism of the app (just in case you hadn't noticed already), neither of us are displeased with the purchase. The Mavic Mini 2 flies easily and well, and it really is fun to use. And, once one gets over the completely unnecessary software hurdles, it's not all that difficult to remember what to do the next time one is attempting to retrieve those files. If you're interested in getting into drone flying, I'd recommend having a look at this one. It's not terribly expensive, and you'll quickly be up and flying.

Absolutely incredible – the perfect first drone!
This DJI Mini 4K is hands-down one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’ve been completely blown away by the build quality, flight performance, and especially the stunning 4K footage it captures. As someone totally new to drones, I wanted something affordable yet capable, and because it weighs under 249 g I don’t have to deal with FAA registration—huge bonus! At this price point I honestly can’t find a single real flaw. The only tiny nitpick (and I’m really reaching here) is that I wish the standard kit came with two batteries instead of one, but that’s it. Everything else is perfect. I also picked up a nice carrying case, extra microSD cards, and a card reader (reviewed those separately), and I’ll definitely be grabbing the charging hub and more batteries soon because I never want to stop flying this thing. DJI has absolutely nailed it with the Mini 4K. If you’re looking for an amazing, beginner-friendly drone that punches way above its weight, stop scrolling and buy this one. You won’t regret it!Highly, highly recommended!

DJI is a No Brainer Decision
DJI IS THE BEST on the market as far as I'm concerned. This is my 2nd drone. My first was a DJI Mavic. The Mini 4k is absolutely a work of art to me. It is so small yet it is VERY agile and can hold its own in winds of 15 to 20 miles an hour no problem at all. I hovered at about 360 ft recording sunset. Winds were gusting at about 20 mph. The drone just sat still. Now there was some very minimal movement because you could tell it was fighting to hold its position with the wind but it is a very strong little bugger. Easy to use once to learn up is up and down is down and all the fine movements between. Very fun!! Highly recommend the fly more combo so you get maximum flight time without worrying about the charge time of just having one battery. With an hour TAT on charging just one that's pretty lame. Get the Fly More and fly for 90 minutes all in one sit down. Camera and video quality? AHHH-MAZING! Again. DJI for the win. Do yourself a favor buy at least a 11 inch tablet to hook your controller up too for your HUD vs using a tiny cell phone. You'll thank me later.
