Absolutely amazing, hard to find any faults. I have owned lots of phones, budget and flagship, this is the best by a huge margin
I have owned many mid-low range phones (including sony, huawei, doogee, elephone, honor) and this is by far the best one. Unbelievable price for the quality. My partner bought a huawei p10 not so long back, and as I was very impressed by that model, I decided to see what budget phones they have available. I want to start by saying, that when you buy a £179 phone you do not expect it to be as good as the latest £799 phone. Or at least you shouldn't do. But with this handset it's hard to tell the difference without really looking. There are a number of bad reviews for this phone, which to me do not make sense at all, as what people seem to be complaining about, the phone handles no problem, or even excels at. 1) Speed = The phone flies through the menu, opening apps are no problem, multi tasking and gaming are brilliant, cannot fault the phone for speed at all. Some reviews were saying very slow and laggy, this is not the case at all. Not in the slightest. My guess is these people just had the phone, and was probably going slow due to mulitple updates, background processes and set up tasks taking up all the resources. The phone is far from slow. 2) Style = The phone looks and feels very nice indeed. The screen to body ratio competes with flagship phones, no cheap plastic anywhere, going by looks alone you would think this is a flagship model. 3) Usability = The fingerprint scanner on the reverse works very well, I haven't had a single failed attempt at reading my finger in the week or 2 iv'e had the phone. My sony z5 premium (terrible phone btw) was much worse than this. Screens very responsive etc. Very little bloatware for instance, I was prompted when setting up the phone what apps I wanted and which I didn't, which was amazing. Finally I can CHOOSE what apps I want and what I don't, rather than being inundated with apps I cannot remove and don't need. That was refreshing. SIgnal strength is great, that paired with easy and thorough initial set up and lack of bloatware makes this phone a pleasure to use. Also what stands out for me is the fact that I have NFC, mirror share and a decent gyro, which usually take a hit on budget phones. 4) Camera and Screen Quality = Screen quality is fine, big bright screen, good HD+ resolution and stretches right to edges of phone. I have had phones with a slightly brighter screen before, but this is definitely bright enough even for direct sunlight etc. The camera on the other-hand is extremely impressive. Usually when you buy a < £200 phone rather than a flagship, many components suffer, and the camera is normally the most noticeable budget component. This camera is amazing. Again some of the reviews says the camera isn't very good, but compared to all my other phones at the same price level, it wins them by a long, long way. Camera quality is great, plenty of settings, fast to take a pic too which is rare. I cannot fault this camera one bit, even detailed when zoomed right in. It may be worth 5) Battery Life = As the phone is only 2 weeks old I cannot really review the longevity of the battery, but at first impressions it is great. Even with flagship models I really struggle to get a full day, I work very long hours, mainly on my phone, plus do a lot of browsing and media streaming, so I work my battery hard. A full day yesterday for example took just 18% of my battery. That's un heard of for my usage. I will update again in 6 months, see if the battery lasts, but so far very impressed. So, all in all, I am very, very happy with this purchase so far. I have owned a lot of phones, especially at this price range, and this is staggeringly better. Obviously when you buy a budget phone, the company has to save the money somewhere. With other phone brands, things like the camera suffers, and this usually starts to bother you. But I think this model is amazing. They have saved money in places you do not notice. For instance I have fast charge, but not lightning charge. There is also no armour protection on the screen, and comes fitted with a plastic screen protector, other phones screens may be brighter too (but only slightly), but honestly other than those i'm struggling to work out why this phone is £179 and the new Samsung over a grand. It makes no sense to me at all. I did have trouble finding a screen protector that fits without extending over the screen bevels, and im still looking now for a protector with a good fit, but there are plenty of good cases available (which is normally an issue with cheap and off-brand phones). I have bought 2 screen protectors now, and both of them are way to large. Those few points are the only faults I can give this phone. If you're sick of paying a fortune for phones, or if you just want out your contract, I totally recommend this phone. You will not see it as a downgrade. I have been buying budget phones a while now, as well as some flagships (as I usually run 2 phones at a time), but after seeing what this can do I will not be upgrading my contract for another flagship, its simply just not worth it in the slightest.

Superb value from Huawei, great quality too!
The 8 core processor guarantees great performance. Cameras are superb but needs good lighting like most mobiles. (My Sony compact camera can take pictures at night). Nice built in apps that do not intrude, I like the Health one. 32Gb internal memory is adequate and you can always expand with Micro SD card unless using two sims. (Second sim is only activated if you lose reception on first network, could be handy in remote areas but not most of UK) Battery life is superb, I didn't use my phone yesterday and still had 91% left, typically has 75% after 24 hours. The build quality and superb case is as good as any other offering. There are a choice of cases available and I got one at the same time. It comes with a screen protector so saves you buying one separately. Makes my 2 yr old phone look a dinasaur.

great cheap phone
for the price, this phone really does provide an awful lot. the battery life impresses me a lot, it can easily last a day with moderate-high use. with low usage it can easily last two days, and with power save mode, even three days. the screen is average, it's hd so is nice and clear, but obviously not the same quality as a high end phone, the touchscreen works well, even with wet or sweaty hands, however the fingerprint sensor requires dry fingertips. sleek design. it has an 18:9 aspect ratio

This is by far the best phone I have ever had
This is by far the best phone I have ever had. I am thrillled with its performance, value for money and impressive 3 year gaurantee. The only small problem I have found are with sms message notifications. I would prefer a number count on top of the short cut, rather than a tiny dot. when I have unread messages. Some people have complained about the camera. The camera is ok but not outstanding. It does have some really good tools with it. I enjoyed "smile activation" and "say cheese" (methods of taking picturers remotely). The picture quality is better than my previous Sony Xperia but not as good as my wifes Samsung A7 but thats a more expensive phone. All in All ,This is an amazing phone for the money and if it prooves reliable I will be sticking with Huawei in the future. if you are thinking of buying this phone you won't be dissapointed. Go ahead and buy it.

Very impressed
Purchased as a second phone to my Samsung S8 & I'm honestly very, very impressed! The phones looks are second to none & I actually prefer the all metal design to the glass S8 but it's still using USB instead of USB-C which amazed me. Other than that the phone is smooth as silk & I've stuck the likes of twitter & flipboard & runs them like a boss. It's got some bloat apps built in but your allowed to un-install almost all & the others can just be made in-active. I also put on Nova Launcher but actually tried the built in huawei os & really like it. It's very simple to use actually. I've shown it around at the office & I noticed many colleagues actually picked up on the clarity of the screen. Just as an afterthought, I didn't like the theme running on the phone because looks too cartoony for me. I looked at huawei's themes, accessible through the phone & wanted a clean & simplistic look & found one called EAGLE. Try it for a nice clean business look. Call quality is fine & reception is slightly better than my S8 & the wifi auto connect is working perfect at home & work, so everything is fine so far. For currently just below £180 you can't really go wrong.
