This is a very high quality product that comes in a roll and is preformed into a hose shape. I will be completely transparent in telling you that I have no idea why it is formed into a hose shape because I do not understand the use for that. I purchased it for mouse exclusion and that is what my review is about.What I used it for was "mouse exclusion". What that term means is that, if you find a mouse in your house, there are likely more and the traditional means of poisoning them or trapping them, will be a never-ending cycle and you will probably end up having to take out a second mortgage if you hire an exterminator because they really do not get to the root of the problem.The ONLY way that you can "exclude" pests from your home is by blocking their ability to come in.I purchased this excellent quality copper mesh to cover any holes that they could possibly come in through. If you have ever had to go through your home and seal out every single opening you know that it is an extraordinarily tedious task. One must employ several methods. For holes that are not easily filled barring them off is the best method. Critters are not fond of chewing through metals such as this. I am talking about mice, not rats or other very large type of vermin. Go to anywhere that you can find that mice could possibly squeak in through (pun intended) and if it is in a not easily accessible (to you) place, this product is golden. You will need a staple gun. Cut enough so that you can fully cover the opening. We are assuming that there is a semi-porous material such as drywall or wood surrounding that hole. Cut a piece of this large enough to fit over that and staple it on. Cut another piece for good measure and staple that on as well. If you have done it over drywall you can obviously plaster over it and sand it down to effect a reasonably smooth surface. It's likely going to be in the bottom of a closet or inside of a cabinet so you don't need it to look absolutely pristine but you can go over it with mudding and sand down the mud. Even if you don't, mice will not have the desire to sit around there chewing through it so you will have effectively "excluded" that area.You get a very respectable amount of product for the price and it comes in a box that is easily storable.I highly recommend this product to be used as part of your exclusion endeavor.I apologize that I do not know why it comes in a whole shape or what that application would be. My review is based on mouse exclusion application.

Haven’t made it all the way around my house yet. Easy to use. Cut, fold,stuff. If you cut in the house be sure and put something under it as there are a lot of shavings from your cuts.

My scale:Most things will start at 4 stars.It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding.It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality.One star if is is not suitable for purpose or for gross misrepresentation.

Just the right thickness for easy snipping and shaping for my vent cover to keep out mice

I've got a condensate line that has a vinyl shroud that keeps getting little critters crawling up it to get into our attic. I was hoping to stuff a few layers of this into it to allow for airflow to continue to work but that wasn't the case. I had to use the included scissors and cut the roll into a lot of little sections in order to create an effective barrier where they couldn't climb up the condensate pipe. After stuff nearly the whole roll up it I was able to have success and they are out and can't get back in. I was hoping to use much less to achieve the same result so that I could use the rest of the roll for other areas of our home.

Used in garden and it did help to keep snail/slugs out of my bucket garden plants. Next year I’ll make a mesh tower to prevent grasshoppers from flying to feast on my tomatoes and peppers!
