Connected to Russian Oligarchs - STAY AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN!
I bought this to learn a little about Gadot's connection to Roman Abramovich, a Russian crime boss who was denied a visa to Britain and Switzerland. Apparently, Abramovich was in such a tizzy over those denials, he rushed to Israel to seek refuge under Israel's Right of Return law. After arriving, he purchased a hotel owned by Gadot and her husband for 26 million.

Poorly written and superficial
This book seemed to be written quickly to take advantage of Gadot's starring role in her movie. It is not well written and doesn't focus enough on her successes in life.

Not worth the money!!
This is a children's book and not close to worth the money. My 12 year old daughter loves Gal Gadot and was instantly disappointed when she saw the book. For the price, we expected an actual biography. We will be returning it.

We need a better book than this.
The book spends a surprising amount of time on her role in "Fast and Furious," in which she played a drug dealer. This is not a children's movie, and even I grew bored with the level of detail on this film, and I wanted to read more about Wonder Woman. Also, Gadot is described so many times as "nervous" (twice on one page!) that it has the effect of undermining her accomplishments. I read this in the public library, but I won't be buying a copy. I believe we need a good biography of her for children, but I think we can do better.

This is a fascinating mini-biography of Gal Gadot, a “wonder woman” young readers will enjoy ...
No one thought that a female superhero film would drawn many people to the big screen. It simply wasn’t going to happen, but Gal Gadot’s “portrayal of Wonder Woman was a huge success.” The film far exceeded anyone expectations and made a whopping $700 million around the world. It was an unexpected surprise, but if we look carefully at Gal, it’s easy to see why so many people are drawn to her portrait of Wonder Woman. Just what did Gal, a real-life wonder woman, have going for her that was and is so appealing to her fans? Gal was born in Israel and “her parents raised their daughters to be confident and have ambition.” It most certainly an upbringing that propelled her toward becoming a woman her parents could be proud of.Gal appeared to be determined from a very young age and family stories include antics of a three-year-old who was not to be deterred. She was certainly not a couch potato and, as she grew, “she was full of energy and she participated in a number of sports.” In addition to being a young athlete, she was also an excellent dancer who practiced her love of dance for more than a decade. As a multi-talented young woman, “people occasionally approached Gadot with modeling opportunities.” Gal was not only an athlete and a dancer, but a beautiful one! Fast forward just a bit and the world would see Gal become Miss Israel in 2004. A bit of a rebellious streak foiled her chances to become Miss Universe, but there was no disappointment in the loss.Life was certainly not over for Gal, but rather just beginning when she “began her service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).” It was mandatory for both men and women to serve their country and this was where she learned to hone that determined spirit and learn some really cool fighting skills. Just what kind of winding path led this one-time beauty queen and soldier to the big screen as Wonder Woman? You’ll find the answer to that question and will learn about her childhood, the languages she could speak, how she got into acting, the roles she became famous for, her role as Wonder Woman, and you’ll learn many other fun, fascinating facts about Gal Gadot “soldier, Model, [and] wonder woman.”This is a fascinating mini-biography of Gal Gadot, a “wonder woman” young readers will enjoy.
