This half size violin is really good for a starter kit,I bought it for my 5 year old who absolutely loves it and i think it is perfect.We had a great time getting it ready to play,It comes with the bridge wrapped up and the Bow wound down and the brand new Rosin that also came in with it works a treat,After setting the violin up we tuned it in,Rosined the Bow and away we went,I was amazed at the way it plays,It sounds really great and you would'nt think you were playing a small learning violin.It tunes perfectly to our tuner and gives out a real quality sound and pitch,We are playing traditional irish folk on ours and it is working perfectly along to the Tin whistle,It looks really nice too and the case it came in has everything you need,2 lockable bow storage slots,A rosin box,A little strap across the violin itself to keep it safe and a zip up pocket on the front to keep a tutorial book in,All in a lovely case with a carry handle.So glad we bought this for the enjoyment we are getting out of it,RayGar have done us proud here,An absolute giveaway price too.

it's a low cost item, so expectations should not be too high.i bought it because my 7 year old daughter wanted to learn to play. we had a 3/4 size fiddle, but it was a little too big for her. I didn't want to buy an expensive instrument: she will only use it for a year or so, if even.the good: it comes in a nice case, it's functional, it sounds ok, it arrived on time, it probably looks better than I expected.the bad: tuning is difficult: the large tuning knobs are not quite stiff enough, and the small fine-tuning knobs have screws that completely miss the tuning levers... which means, for 2 of the strings, they do not work!But: as this is for a beginner, and the music being produced won't sound great in any case at this stage of learning... it's functional, and it is good enough for what we need.therefore: 3 stars. just don't expect too much. If it's for an improver, and not a beginner, I could not recommend.

I purchased this violin for Christmas and the quality is very bad. Came with no instructions and one of the pegs was damaged.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter in law and arrived in good time for her birthday. On first inspection the case looks and feels real good, although it is classed as a soft case it is really solid and offers plenty of protection. The violin itself needed some assembly, but I already knew this from reading other reviews. Looking on the internet I soon knew exactly where to place the bridge. When she started playing it sounded really good and she was really pleased.The reason for the 4 star rating and not a 5 is really miner. Fist the Rosin that came with the instrument started to crumble away as soon as we opened the container so will possibly need to buy a new one and second the back of the neck of the violin was not stained and was just varnished.Overall, for the price I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn violin.

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter as a beginner violin. Her Dad took only minutes to set it up and have it in tune to concert pitch.He immediately commented on how tonefull it was and noted that it came with fine tuners. He is a professional musician and has started to play this instrument himself and is asking for a full sized one for Christmas. In our opinion this is an excellent buy that comes with an excellent Bow, Case, Rosin and fine tuners. It stayed in tune even after a long journey in the car. This has surpassed our expectations.

I bought this for our son who is just under 5 and had been talking about the violin for some time. I looked at this violin because it was the sort of price you want to pay for an instrument, to see how your child gets on. Our son loved it and was merrily playing it and still does. It is great for kids to practice on and once set up it is great to learn on. If you are looking for a top quality instrument then this isn't it (hence the price), but it does the job and that's all that matters really. A good starter instrument.

Very happy with the violin (hairs on the bow were broken - teacher has fixed this) daughter is very happy, received on time.

Not the best quality when tried to tune the violin one of the strings broke straight away. But it's good to start out.

Depuis au moins 15 ans, je rêve d avoir un violon. Grâcea son prix j ai pu le réaliser.J ai également acheté une méthode pour apprendre seule et je progresse doucement. Le service de livraison a été parfait, un rdv a été pris et le violon était extrêmement bien emballé.

un jouet.. pour le prix ,,, Faut pas s'attendre à plus. Rien contre l'article lui même, mais un peu dessus. j'aurais mieux fait de dépenser quelques euros de plus
