Good enough
If you wanna skip to the actual review, just scroll down a tiny bit.I've had a fair share of headphones over the years, I researched this product a lot and I'm disappointed.I've owned a bunch of stock earphonesupgraded to "Skullcandy G.I." (felt flimsy)upgraded to "Skullcandy titans" (Sturdy and fair price for the quality)upgraded to "urbeats" (rip-off)upgraded to "Klipsh Image S3" (clear and natural)upgraded to "Klipsh Image S4" (wasn't much of an upgrade, more bang to the bass)upgraded to "Sennheiser 280 HD pro" (glorious)I bought VSONIC VSD3S because all the others are broken (I'm a very rugged user) except the Senn' 280HD and I don't want to keep using them outdoors.I didn't expect the VSONIC to be any better than my 280s but this is worse than what I expected for the price tag.all the headphones up there are better, except with skullcandy G.I. and arguably with urbeats. Reason is because the Vsonics sound filtered and most headphones up there except urbeats and klipsh s4 sound crisp and unaltered.Actual review:- Excellent sound isolation with the right earbuds- sound is smooth and easy as long as not too much bass comes in- Stylish- There is a certain clarity to the headphones- The bass is good and have a good bang but can overpower vocals- The treble feels retro. The frequency feels fast and it makes it feel like a tamborine and sometimes when there's a lot of treble going on at the same time, your ear just feels like they're getting hissed at.- Good treble is sacrificed for clear vocalsThis is how I rate the headphones in each of these genres (rating out of 5):Indie rock - 3 out of 5 (clear but can be mushy in parts where there are lots of vocals or instruments)Punk - 2.5 out of 5 (Lacks the bang because it feels like the bass and treble doesn't harmonize well)Hardcore - 2 out of 5 (Can hurt your ear because the treble just hisses on your ear)Classical/instrumental - 4 out of 5 (Classical music are generally balanced and these headphones make them sound fair)Dance - 3 out of 5 (The treble sounds unnatural)Hip hop/pop - 4 out of 5 (I like the bang from the bass)Buy these if:- You like good bass- If you're thinking of buying Dr. beats (These look better, sound better and are also cheaper) Beats are only good for speakers- You wanna look sexyDon't buy if:- You don't want your music to sound altered. These don't sound natural.- There's a lot going on in your music (Rock and Rock sub-genres) The sound feels like they're all in the mid-range and it sounds overbearing when there's a lof instruments going on.

Bought a pair and returned them when one stopped working. Thought it might just be a defect so bought another pair. Same ear stopped working again and it is too late to return. Don't buy them. Out $60 and nothing I can do about it.

Not worth the money. Buy something else.
TL;DR -- These phones sound decent, but only in the < $50 price range . If you do get them, don't be surprised if they break in a couple months. List price is inflated so the seller can offer ridiculous discounts, but the phones still aren't worth the money at $50.I ordered these in November of 2014, and 6 months later they are completely non-functional. In fact, I've been limping along without viable headphones for about 2 months because these things broke back in March. I bought them at a major discount--they were marked at ~$150 and I bought them for ~$60 --but they honestly were only worth about 30 bucks. I suspect that the list price for these headphones is WAAAAAY too high so that they can sell them at what looks like a huge discount but is actually more than the product is worth. I'll explain more fully below.1. Audio Quality-- okay, when I first got them and listened to them, I was relatively pleased. They sounded good, sharp, clear, if lacking in bass. I got them to replace a pair of Klipsch s5i's that had finally broken after 3 years of HEAVY use, and while I didn't like the VSONIC's quite as much, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, the audio quality was pretty decent, I'd give it a 4, but definitely NOT what you'd expect from $150 headphones.2. Build quality-- I used them extremely gently for maybe four months before something happened with the cord (I think) and the right earbud died. If I experiment with the position of the phones, my iPod, etc, I can get the sound back, but as soon as I move from that position it dies again. I've still been using the left earbud when I need phones because I simply don't have anything else, but the audio quality is now worse in that earpiece in addition to the right one being dead. I've investigated, and I can buy a replacement cord, but it'd be another 30 bucks which is almost as much as the phones were probably worth to begin with.3. Aesthetics-- Meh. They look alright. They also kind of look like they're trying too hard.4. Customer support-- The only thing I've been able to find is Amazon's (now expired) return policy. I've tried to find a phone number, but only managed to get through to a young lady who seemed confused and had an extremely thick accent and wound up telling me I had the wrong number. In her defense, it's pretty likely I did. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I haven't been able to find contact information for the manufacturer--which should be easy, even for an idiot--and even if I did I doubt it would do any good.Yesterday, I got back on amazon AGAIN to try to find the replacement cord I'd found before, but I couldn't anymore. I saw some Klipsch s4i Rugged's on sale for under $50 and bought them on the spot. Sidenote: In my experience, Klipsch has fantastic customer support. My first pair of s5's broke, I called Klipsch, they sent me a new pair, no questions, no hassle.

Very pleased with the ear phones
Very pleased with the ear phones. The sound rejection is great, music sounds really good. I would buy these again. The only downside is it's hard to tell the left from the right other than a small S on the inside of one of the inserts. I would consider getting a coloured set for that reason.
