Amazing at a great price point
So you can buy monopods all day long. Unless you buy a good one, then you will end up with a pile of them in the corner. You will have wasted lots of money and could have purchased a nice unit from the start.I have been looking at ProMediaGear monos for a while because they are in fact the best. Yes I said it, they are better than Manfrotos. They come with a huge price tag as you will have to get off your wallet and may shed a tear or two in the process.Fast forward to the Oben. I try to be a very educated buyer doing lots of research. There are a few if not any videos and info on this item and it was a "play the loto" chance. It arrived in a timely manner and had it shipped to the event I was shooting so just a matter of unboxing.I paired it with the Desmond DMH-2 & 50mm DAC-X1 Clamp Tripod Tilt Head Arca /RRS Compatible Oversized Knob. This was more expensive that the monopod but sure OK...lets go!!!First tried out with a D3 and 200-500 and wow what an amazing stick. No issues what so ever. Then on the next game shot with a D3s and 70-200 and ohhh boy, have found my new friend. This by far is what you want if looking for a good product at an amazing price point. I have read the reviews on the safety strap and was concerned but lets talk reality. You are never going to take a camera rig of any value and swing it like a bullwhip over your head by the safety strap. Its there for one reason and that is to catch an accident while holding. It has a belt clip but this is not a viable use IMO.The bad: wish it had a post on the foot for a spike. Thats it. nothing more. I love it. Kinda want to buy two of them but just no need for a second unit

In love!
I never knew a monopod would make me so happy! I do Friday Night Lights with a D7100 and 300mm prime lens - pretty darn heavy. I have been using a cheap store bought monopod and noticed it was time to replace. I researched and saw the comments on how sturdy this one is. I feel like a million bucks - no kidding. A solid buy and I feel completely secure. It glides super fast and smooth to the height I'm looking for and locks quickly. It is not noticeably heavy in comparison to the cheap lightweight one I was accustomed to. Now for the test of time, but I can't imagine an issue. When you see it, you'll know it's a good buy.

I endorse this product. It is light, strong and functional
It is a pro use item with a strong camera mount.. Leg locks are simple and sturdy. The height is good for folks up to about six feet tall. Mine was apparently not assembled correctly as the tip of the mount for the camera was flush with the top of the camera mount. I managed to make the adjustment work. It works great for a heavy lens and camera. Mine weighs about ten pounds. Balance point was perfect for the 200 x 600 lens on my D850. Now taking long shots is a pleasure rather than a struggle.

Very Light, Tough, and Sturdy!
This thing is awesome. It's very sturdy, and can support the weight of heavy cameras. It's made out of Aluminum, so it's very light, and the screw on top is reversible, so you don't HAVE to get a head for it. The foot on the bottom does not have a spike, but it has screws to adjust the leg clamps, which is awesome. The hand grip keeps your hand warmer in the winter, and it measures in height to about 65". Highly recommend!

The Oben ACM-2400 is a very good mono-pod
The Oben ACM-2400 mono-pod is a very good product. Well made with high-quality materials. It's light-weight and easy to attach to my camera. Because it is compact and light weight it is excellent when traveling. I have used many other mono-pods and tripods and this one is one of the best I've ever used.
