PondXpertTriple Barley Straw with added lavender 3 For 2

This is the only product purporting to clear pond water that I've tried which has had any effect at all - and it's been brilliant. Took a couple of weeks but it's been crystal-clear since.

The bales are effective and improving the pond water visibility and reasonably priced. However, in my personal circumstances, there was a drawback in that the Royal Mail delivery had to signed for (surely unnecessary for such an item?) which either involved a journey to the post office to collect them or staying in all day waiting for the postman. For this reason I probably won't order from this company again. If, however, signing for them is not an issue for you then I can recommend these bales.

Good price. Prompt delivery. Seem better than the last lot that I purchased - the barley straw stays in the bags with this one. 2 of my ponds aren't too bad with blanket weed, but the wildlife pond is smothered with it & I don't want to use any chemicals. Whether it actually works remains to be seen

I've used barley straw before to help clear algae; but these didn't seem to help, and one sank to the bottom within 10 days, which I needed to retrieve. Pond now clear due to other measures, but not sure why they didn't seem to collect the green algae as previous others had. Maybe my fault!?

Have you seeds for several years they do float at first then slowly sink which then the netting eventually can be left floating around or get sucked up to the filter seems to be effective on the green algae but always a struggle in the summer heat quite a small product but just lastly designated time period
