This the best electric drum kit I have ever owned, and I started out with a Roland TD12! The quality of the set is primo and there are many assembly options to get the pieces positioned just right. The brain has a very user-friendly touch screen format. It takes a while to sort out how the various functions work, like adding different percussion rim shots to all the toms (sound amazing when completed!), but it was well worth the time and effort. I can change parameters on the fly by highlighting the screen and turning the knobs at the bottom of the touch screen. This kit has the best sounding 14" snare of any electric kit I have played. I play many different genres, from rock to jazz to Broadway, and I can always get the sound I need. Highly recommended!

Love these drums, they have made drumming fun again. You can chose from many preset kits or make your own custom kit.

I have been playing acoustic drums for 45 years. I held off on buying electric drums for all of these years simply because I never was comfortable playing on them. I was always disappointed in the way they felt and sounded, so I just stayed away from them and stuck to playing acoustic drums.... Until now! I must admit after watching several videos of reviews from many other drummers I decided to look into the Alesis strata prime. I now am the proud owner of my first e-kit and I am not the least disappointed. I took my time calibrating each drum and made sure the mesh heads were tuned before I started playing. I made the right decision buying the Strata Prime and I'm impressed with the sound and feel of the kit.

The Strata Prime looks impressive and has some great features — the touchscreen is nice, the sounds are solid, and the build feels sturdy. But when it comes down to playing, it still doesn’t capture the feel of real acoustic drums. The hi-hats and cymbals especially leave something to be desired, and it takes a lot of tweaking to get things dialed in. We had several drummers try it out, and each gave similar feedback. For the price, we expected it to feel closer to the real thing. Not a bad kit, but not the game-changer we hoped for.

This Alesis kit is pretty amazing. The look, sounds, computer "brain," and user friendly controls are legit. They do not (at this time) offer Bluetooth Audio, for playback of your favorite music. That's the only negative for the entire kit. You can play along via the "Track Playback" feature (USB) or buy a splitter cable to plug into your phone/portable music device, so the lack of Bluetooth is not that severe. You can spend 4 hours on it, playing, tinkering with the controls, before you even know it. Very pleased with my purchase. Oh, and Amazon shipped it for free as part of Prime...And I got Rewards Points from my Amazon Visa. Awesome!

Response, and the feel for this kit is amazing. I looked at Roland for years, but pulled the trigger on this one and don’t regret it. Some review complaining at the lack of hi hat stand and kick pedal are silly. It’s common not to have these out of the box, and allows you to get the hardware you like the most. And it’s very clear in the description. Bad reviews for lack of reading details is pretty lame, even for a drummer. This kit feels perfect, super responsive, and a perfect “brain”. Easy to use and configure.

Great for quiet practices - some issues with the triggers but, nothing that wont be figured out in time - worth it

What can I say, this kit is just downright amazing! I’ve had it for a few months now and play it most days. I have added an additional Splash cymbal and Mapex double kit, everything works perfectly. The kit selection is great and everything can be modified. I can connect my phone / ipad via bluetooth. I also use an iRig which allows me to easily record sessions using my phone. Best kit out there for this value!

Didn’t deliver the kick drum! Had to buy one from Germany!
