Will it rust over time? Like if you were constantly wearing it as jewelry, would it rust because of things like showering?

These are stainless steel they will not rust but they will scratch and become dull. I use a basic metal / stainless steel cleaner to wipe and polish the lock when it becomes dull. I wear mine daily but do remove it to shower most times.

We have had them almost a year and used them only indoors without any tarnish.

Yes, they are functional. The key can be a bit difficult at times, but other than that it’s a solid lock
