So functional!
I’ve had the Oura ring for a month now and I love it so much! I had wanted this ring since it first came out but could never afford it. Now that you can use your FSA/HSA, it is possible. Since I used mine, I went with my favorite color rose gold. The color itself is gorgeous but not a true rose gold. It’s more of a true gold. Doesn’t matter because it’s beautiful and so functional. I look forward to waking up and checking my stats on the app. It is so accurate too! I thought I was getting a bit sick one day and it told me to take it easy so it picked up on the changes within my body. The sleep tracking is what I mainly got the ring for. I have trouble tossing and turning all night and this ring picks up on my sleep cycles. It will give suggestions of when you should go to sleep to get a better night’s rest. It is pretty comfortable to sleep with as well. Doesn’t bother me at all. Choosing the right size of ring is very important. Since our fingers do tend to swell in our sleep and with the weather. I recommend sizing up. I usually wear a size 8 but with the sizing kit, I found I had to size up to a 9. Even when my finger has swelled, it’s not uncomfortable at least for me. I have seen a lot of people being put off on the monthly subscription. Although it would be nice not to have to pay for one, I don’t mind it. As far as the work out option, I haven’t gotten a chance to test it. I do feel it needs better options to choose from with the workout options they have. If it were more like the options on my Apple Watch, it would make it even better. I also feel the period tracking could be better. It’s very basic. Just lets you choose a start date and your flow. This is what I wish Oura could put more effort into tweaking on the app. Its period predictability is pretty spot on. But why should we have to use a separate app if we want to get a more detailed breakdown of our menstrual cycle? I know there are other competitors with more reasonable pricing but Oura really is the way to go. I was able to easily put in my order here and got it the next day! Don’t order through the Oura site though. I had an order on their site that was taking forever to get any updates on my order and as it turns out, they were so backed up because they were busy fulfilling their Amazon contract. So just cancelled with them and ordered here and it worked out. If you’re debating on getting one, just do it!

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY
I want to start out by saying that this in no way is a fitness tracker, if you are into fitness in any way and have an Apple Watch continue to use your Apple Watch. If you are curious about your sleep, stress, your period cycle I would say this is a good purchase, and get the ring sizing kit. Also make sure you check with your insurance provider — they might just cover this. 1. Sleep- this really goes into detail about how much lite, deep, and REM sleep, this also calculates how long it takes you to fall asleep, your movements throughout the night, a part of this calculates your readiness (will talk about that at the end) 2. Live Heart Rate - this along with the “daytime stress feature (will do into that on 3), you can actually monitor your heart rate and do a “live” heart rate and actually feel the beats per minute, it calculates your HR in 30 minute increments. This will measure your HR at night (and it kinda calls you out if you have an elevated HR from drinking alcohol) 3. Daytime stress - the app/ ring is able to calculate your HR based on stress (this will take a couple of weeks to figure out). It tells me when I’m in relaxed, engaged and stress stage, and the restored stage (how long it will take you to recover from being stressed) this has really been helpful for me especially since working from home. This plays into your Rediness score. 4. Cycle Insights / Natural cycle- Ladies this one is for you if you are looking to come off hormonal birth control and/or looking to start a family or if you’re honestly just curious. I will say the more data that you provide the app on your last 6 periods the better it has predicting (but no worries if you don’t know it) will talk about the natural cycles app in a few. This will take your body temperature every day and create a graph, when you download the natural cycles app (which btw pairs wonderfully with the Oura ring) every morning you will open up the Oura ring app and allow everything to sync then it will transfer that data to your natural cycles app. There you will have Green Day’s ( your safe days for s*x), and red days when it’s not safe (unless looking to start a family I’m sure yours will be very different from mine). This will predict days of ovulation based on your body temp. And your est. next cycle. You will then fill out this form it will ask you if you’ve had s*x, bleeding (for period), LH test, ovulation symptoms and your overall “how are you feeling”. The more information you give the app the better. 5. Your Readiness Score - basically everything I talked about sleep, HR, temperature, “activity” even though I don’t use it. I put my Apple Watch information into it” your stress, this calculates everything and gives you a readiness score to take on your day. It may give you advice to relax, call you out on your drinking “hey your HR was elevated did you consume alcohol or have a late light snack” sometimes it can tell you that you might be coming down with something, or that you can take the day on. I will say there are CONS— it’s a wellness ring, not a fitness ring. The app…… it’s $5.99 a month… for a ring that you pay $350 based on the ring and finish. Kind of annoying. This does scuff pretty easy (so if you wear this while working out get a ring protector). However the Pro’s outweigh the cons…. I’m able to learn a lot about my sleep I’ve got some PTSD/ insomnia from the military. I’ve been able to learn a lot about my stress and period tracking. I think this was very much worth the purchase (I did hold off for a year).

This is the best of the best in Smart Rings
I tried all 3 of the top rated rings. You can’t go wrong with any of the 3 top rings, Ultrahuman (make sure it is factory updated), RingConn (easiest to understand) and my favorite, even though you will have a subscription fee is the Oura. It’s amazing the health data you get from a smart ring. The Oura sleep report is supposedly 99% as accurate as a medical sleep study done in a lab. It tracks heart rate accurately, activity incl. steps daily as well as many workouts and gives you a resilience score as well as a sleep score each am after sleep. Mine is silver and I wear it on my ring finger on my non dominant hand. It can be connected to other products for recording even more data, such as keeping up w your BP.

Totally worth the money! The design is slick, it's pretty comfortable, and it works as well as expected. I bought it because I don't like to sleep with my Apple Watch and wanted something more targeted to measure sleep analytics and also to measure stress markers, and it's living up to the expectations. App user interface is superb, easy to use, activity measurements work great, sleep too, just waiting on the stress markers, but judging by the experience so far, don't expect it to fall short of expectations. AI analysis on the meals input is also super nice.

I cannot express how much I love my Oura Ring – it has genuinely transformed the way I understand my body, my health, and my daily rhythm. After months of considering various wearable wellness trackers, I finally chose the Oura Ring, and I am so glad I did. It’s elegant, discreet, incredibly intelligent, and unlike anything else on the market. From the moment I received it, the packaging and unboxing experience felt premium – the attention to detail, the minimalism, and the quality of the materials made it feel more like receiving a luxury piece of jewellery than a health tracker. I opted for the Heritage design in silver, and it’s truly beautiful – sleek, modern, and subtle enough to wear with anything, from gym gear to formalwear. But the real magic lies in what it does. The Oura Ring goes far beyond basic step counting and calorie burn. It offers a holistic, science-driven picture of your health, and its insights are deeply personalised. It tracks sleep with incredible accuracy – not just how long you sleep, but your sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, temperature trends, and respiratory rate. As someone who used to underestimate the importance of deep and REM sleep, this has been eye-opening. The sleep score helps me identify what’s helping or hindering my rest, from late-night screens to alcohol, and I now prioritise my wind-down routine because I can see the difference. Its readiness score is a game-changer. Rather than pushing you to work out every day, it guides you to tune into what your body actually needs. On days when my ring senses that my recovery is low or that I’m fighting something off, it suggests rest and gentle movement. On high readiness days, I feel confident in pushing myself further in workouts or productivity. It’s like having a silent coach on your finger who always knows how you’re doing – even when you don’t. One of the things I love most is the menstrual insights. I’ve never felt so in tune with my cycle – it predicts my period accurately and shows how my temperature and sleep shift across phases. This kind of cycle syncing helps me align workouts, productivity, and self-care to my natural hormonal rhythm. It’s empowering and refreshing to have that level of visibility without invasive apps or guesswork. Battery life is another standout feature. Unlike many wearables that need daily charging, I only need to charge the Oura Ring every 4–5 days, and the little charging dock is neat and travel-friendly. The app is intuitive, beautifully designed, and packed with information without being overwhelming. I check it every morning – not out of obsession, but because it genuinely helps me shape my day better. Whether I need to stretch more, rest more, hydrate, or move with intention, I have the data and insights to support those choices. Lastly, I appreciate that the Oura Ring is designed with privacy and longevity in mind. The company is transparent about data and constantly updating the app with useful features, like guided meditations, breathwork, and sleep audio tools. It feels like they genuinely care about their users’ long-term wellbeing. If you’re serious about understanding your body, improving your sleep, and making intentional choices around wellness and performance – all without wearing a bulky device – the Oura Ring is absolutely worth the investment. I can’t imagine life without it now. Highly, highly recommend.
