Zip ties are your friend
Worked out great for my young apple tree trunks. I have a lot of deer, and they have not bothered the cages at all. Installation can be tedious- zip ties are your friend! Put them in place as you go, and it will go/stay together much easier, instead of waiting till the end. I also used the U-pins along the bottom to keep the cages in place.

Durable and Holds up well throughout the winters
Well made and durable. I use these around my fruit trees. I use a seedeater to get the grass knocked down around the trees. These tree cards hold up well against the weather and also the weed eater hitting against them. I have used other brands and they seem to break down after a few cold winter and get brittle. This brand seems to last longer and stay useful.

Nice!
Very happy with these. They can be used singley, hooked together for extra width, or hooked together for extra height. they are firm enough to stand up to wind. Do order the stakes to help keep them upright.

Dog proof
There’s definitely not enough in a pack when you have a Saint Bernard so order 2 packs.

store compactly, modular/can snap them together, fairly easy to install
These seem sturdy enough to resist weedeater lines when trimming around trees.I like that they are modular; you can snap as many together to form as tall of a tree protector as you need. You can snap them together in either direction (see picture), for a taller but skinnier tube or a wider but shorter tube.I don't know how easy they would be to snap together if they were really cold, I did it in our house where they were already warmed up.Also don't know how UV resistant they will be, time will tell if they get brittle after one season or not.Green color should blend into the landscape well if that's important to you, personally I would like to have bright colors available so that they show a clear marker of where trees are planted in my large fields.
