It does work, just need to ask the right questions and apply it properly.
I just redid my side yard and had gravel put in around the walkway. The loose rocks drove me crazy so I purchased gravel glue - two 32 ounce bottles, along with the applicator. The first time, I screwed up the mix ratio and watered it down. The second bottle, followed the directions on the back and applied it correctly (I think) using their applicator, which I love!I Waited for it to cure and it held and it held well. I was happy. Then we were inundated with rain that lasted for three days. The glue held really well in the large sections of gravel, but not other sections - particularly between the pavers. It was as if I didn’t apply the glue at all. I didn’t understand what I did wrong as I had applied it evenly throughout. I knew that the application needed to be fixed/adjusted, and likely due drainage and moisture.I messaged the company with my questions. After sending them pictures, explaining the water to glue ratio I used, they recommended that, due to the heavy rain we’ve been getting, I try a 1:1 ratio, and apply 2-3 coats. I am going to do that when we are not expecting rain for a day or two. It’ll work - not concerned. Again, it held up in other sections, just not all.As for the glue - here’s a picture following my second application. I do like that it has a color to it when you apply it, but dries clear. The gravel against the house - large sections believe it or not - are the sections that held and the glue is still intact. With the exception of the gutters, there’s no overhang that gives that section shelter - so not sure why there it held, and not everywhere else. Again, I suspect drainage or moisture that may have existed before I applied, but that’s a guess.I would just make sure the area is completely dry, no rain expected for a couple of days, and if you live in an area that is experiencing a lot of rain, thicken the glue and apply 3 coats. Of course, you can always reach out to the company with any questions, and ask for guidance before you start the process. They are responsive and extremely helpful. Also, get their applicator! It’s easy to use and makes the application easier allowing you to evenly distribute it throughout sections. But I do want to give a shoutout to the Petra! I appreciated their responsiveness and their willingness to walk me through the steps, and come up with an alternative solution. A company that is willing to do that, without issue, is a good company to stand behind and support. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

It works even after rain.
Customer service was outstanding. Due to the cost and the amount I knew we were going to have to use I wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. I called the company and the lady that spoke with me answered any questions she could, and the ones she was not sure about she asked one of the specialists. I saw so many reviews, one said it was great then the next would say it did not work at all. Well, we live in Ohio so trying to get 48 hours without rain was a challenge. We put it on in temps in the high 80s lots of sun. We used the rock glue on black mulch because of a review I had watched. I mixed it in a five gallon bucket. 2 parts water to 1 part glue. I shook the glue very well and there were not clumps as seen in other reviews. My husband laid the mulch and by the time I was don't spraying that area the next bag he had laid down was dry so I could immediately spray the glue. Now when I say spray I use that term very loosely. I bought their sprayer and no matter what l did it would just dribble out. I made sure there were no clogs so for the rest of it we decided to buy a big watering can so it will cover a wider area. I went out this afternoon after it had rained pretty hard and I was so excited that it works! We put down 76+ bags of black mulch so I do wish the glue was not as expensive as it is. Remember though for every gallon of glue after mixing you are getting 3gallons of the mixed product. The main reason we got the glue was due to an area at the front of our yard that is a hill and the only option left was to kill all grass and weeds and just do mulch. I did put it on heavier at the bottom foot of the hill to create a better barrier due to how steep part of it is. Over all I'm pleased with this item just not the sprayer.

Rocks turn into a sticky mess
So I used this in multiple places. One is around paver's we walk on where sometimes people step on them. In this area I followed instructions and while spraying the sprayer constantly clogged. We are talking 10min total in time. The amount needed for even a small area is crazy but I started with a small area. After the first day they were hard to the touch and seemed to work. However on day 2 I tested a small spot and stepped on them. They were tacky and stick to the bottom of your shoes / feet and clusters of stones pulled up. I gave the rest another 2 days to dry and it’s a hotter day today. Just went out and it’s almost like the glue is softer and no longer hard. All they just pull up in sticky clusters. I now have an area where all the stones have a tacky sticking shiny finish and stick to everything. So instead of stones just being kicked and you happen to walk on them, now they stick to your feet and shoes and stay on the bottom which is worse. At this point we will probably have to rake up all the stones and replace them as it’s just a mess now.The other area I mentioned is just a flower bed so it doesn’t matter that they are sticky. But also I have no reason to use it there as no one moves those rocks so more of a pointless use case. This stuff is basically Elmer’s glue that doesn’t like heat.

Works great but costly
This mulch glue which I put down yesterday, appears to do the job. The one major drawback is the fact that it does not go a long way especially if you spray all of your mulch. I use 12 yards of mulch in my landscape so I only did around the edges and places where water washes away the mulch. I barely finished one coat for my front yard. Now need to order another to work on my backyard in the same manner. Doing 2 coats will take me broke.

Works great so far
Works great for river stones. Goes on white but dries clear. This is concentrated but if you want a stronger adhesion for high traffic areas I’d recommend not diluting. I used a whole bottle in a small area right in front of my back door and so far the rocks are starting in place. I diluted the first half of the bottle and sprayed it twice (allowing to dry between coats), the area still had allot of moveable stones, so the next layer I used concentrated no water mixed in and sprayed the area twice again allowing to dry between coats
