GREAT little dot sight for the money!
First let me start by saying that I do not have any direct experience with more expensive sights similar to this ie: Bushnell, Burris, Primary Arms ect. I do however, have friends with much deeper pockets than I do and own the more expensive sights. They were as impressed with the Vector as I was for the price. I placed this on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown that I intend on using for steel challenge. Once I zeroed it, I shot for groups at 25 yards. I am pleased to say that I put 10 shots on target that could be covered by a nickel. This is more than satisfactory considering that the competition steel targets will be at 2/3 to half this distance and easier to shoot in comparison. This sight is a NO BRAINER! I like the green dot and the fact that it has an "ON/OFF" switch and that I can choose the dot brightness and not depend on an optical sensor to shut off or choose the brightness for me. Again, I have no experience with sights that auto adjust but have read and heard nothing but complaints by those that have used them. I was not willing to pay the $150+ extra to have an inatimate object dictate how I was going to use it. Overall, thus far, I am very pleased with the Vector Sphinx and plan on getting another 1 or 2.EDIT Nov. 3, 2016I have been using this little sight for 18 months now and JUST changed the battery, from the one that came with it, using it fairly regularly (minimum 3x month; as I compete in "Steel Challenge" with the .22 this sight is on). STILL loving it! I just built a new 10/22 for competition so ordered a second to put on this new build. I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dot sight. I can only assume that any of the bad reviews on here got lemons, which I assure you can happen with the more expensive $200-$300 dot sights. As an aside note; I have owned and used more expensive sights but still would prefer this, because of the green, and price. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Pretty good entry level sight
I bought this to mount onto my Ruger SR45. I works pretty well and seems to hold a zero. I've put about 250 rounds through my .45 with it on. It brought my grouping way down in size. The only complaint I have is that it sometimes will shut off under recoil. I'm not sure if its directly happening with recoil and the battery jarring around. I might return it if it keeps happening. It's a pretty good value if you're unsure if you want to mount a sight on a pistol but I would recommend a higher quality one if you're serious about using one.Update: I've found out that the cover for the sight will turn it on if you're not careful when putting the cover on it or if you bump the cover when it's over the sight. I pulled my sr45 out of the safe last night and noticed it had killed the battery. I put a new one in it because I was using it for my nightstand gun. After placing the cover on I noticed it tripped the on button and it was on. I plan on cutting a hole in the cover around the button and gluing a plastic piece over it.

Northerners Do Not Buy
I have had this sight for a few weeks now and it has not been a great product. I understood that the cost of the product might prove to be less than adequate but don't waste your money. I first noticed that the sight was working in the cold and when I emailed customer service they told be I may not be able to see the green dot because I was outside. But now it won't even turn on inside. I've tried replacing the batteries but it still won't turn on. Waste of money and no luck with customer "service."

Very disappointed with the DOT
FIRST OF ALL, you CAN NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT! The product itself seem like it was well built. Held zero after 100+ rounds of 7.62x39. My only beef with this thing is the red dot. It looks nothing like a dot. Looks more like a blob of light. Horrible! Tried to return it, but seller refused to accept it according to their return policy. Managed to get like a 7" group at 50 yards using a century AK WASR. I did better with iron sights than with this thing and its blob like dot. At 50 yards, the dot pretty much covered up an 8 " circle. It's quite sad that my $20 cheapo red dot reflex sight have better red dots.I suppose this may work will on a shotgun using bird shots or hand gun at close range.

The green dot is not super clear but does the job
I have used this sight for a while now and it is decent. The green dot is not super clear but does the job. It holds a zero nicely and adjusts perfectly. For the price it is worth it compared to buying a $300 real version. Overall, i was quite pleased with this product but it has a lot of room for improvement.

Looks Great
Haven't shot it yet but looks amazing on my .45. Very bright, lightweight, and feels very sturdy. Not like some of the cheep junk you find out there. Cant wait to shoot it. And if your wondering where I got the picatinny rail for the rear sight go check out CZ-USA their the only seller of it as of right now. This sight fits perfectly on the rail and you don't have to spend $300 for it either.
