Does Not Work With KitchenAid Professional
After purchasing this item, I realized that it does not work with my KitchenAid Professional because it needs the head to tilt up, and a Professional does not tilt. I was disappointed because I needed this for a specific project. Also, I did some research and realized that the Professional version has not been released and is not available. However, I fiddled with the SnackCoater a bit, and realized that if I found a way to tilt the whole front of the blender up, the Snackcoater might work. I put a book under the front and raised the entire machine up by 3 inches. Bingo! The KitchenAid is a very heavy machine and I found that even at higher speeds, this set up worked just fine. I was able to complete my project and will keep this SnackCoater until the professional becomes available.

Big size but small capacity.
This is going to take a lot of cupboard space, yet the batch capacity is really only about 2-2.5 cups (good enough for coating nuts, granola, etc. but a batch of popcorn is going to be limited. The photo shows a cookbook but there isn’t one included (they make sure to let you know the mixer isn’t included). I don’t care that the full cookbook’s not in there but you have no where to start with recipes. A Google search brings up a few people who’ve tried to figure out chocolate tempering numbers, snack recipes, and troubleshooting but with such limited research and few ideas for snacking, this bowl becomes kind of a one-trick pony. For the price, a booklet of basic recipes 10-20, would be a huge asset. Even their social media posts show snacks without putting the recipes in the description.
