We love the laid-back, barefoot feeling of flip-flops. But not stubbed toes. So, we made a water-friendly closed-toe flip-flop. Fan- fave hybrid innovation and KEEN comfort from surf spot to camping spot and beyond. Made with a durable washable nylon upper and featuring a quick-dry lining, the Barbados flip flops for men with toe protection are built off KEEN's slimmer Contoured Fit footwear form. KEEN is a values-led, family-owned maker of original hybrid footwear for working and playing outside. Since 2003, KEEN has been consciously creating sandals, boots, shoes, and sneakers on its mission to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone. Every KEEN product is Consciously Created to help leave the planet better than we found it.

Comfy, toe saver!
Love the modern, minimalist design that is suitable for both casual outings and light outdoor activities. The signature rubber toe cap provides excellent protection for people like me that’s prone to toe injuries hahaha…

Little smaller than most keens.
I’d order a size up. Happy they brought the style back

Comfortable, but not long wearing
I purchased these as a replacement for Keen's Waimea flip-flops with a similar toe protector. These are 100% recycled material which is great, but I need a firm, tough sole that will resist conforming to my feet since I pronate. These did not suit me because the insole was worn down at the heel within a few weeks. If they hadn't adapted so quickly to my pronated feet, it wouldn't be a problem because the sole and rest of the flip-flop are still in great shape. However, the modified insole impacts the inner muscles of my knees so that they hurt if I wear them for more than an hour. I have worn Waimea flip-flops for several years before I had to replace this for the the pronation. These didn't work more than a few months.

Don't pay attention to negative reviews
I have had love/hate relationship with Keen when it comes to hiking and waterproof boots, but when it came to replace my Flojo flip-flops, I wanted something better. I came across the Keen Barbados, and really thought this will be great for knocking about /around house with Toe protection. The negative reviews say something about slipping from the side, and I have no idea what they are talking about. This is very comfortable and I actually think they stay on your foot better than regular flip-flops.I wear size 11 shoes and ordered size 12 in these and they are slightly bigger for me, but not too loose. So, I think half size up or even one is a good way to go about it.

Love Love Love the toe protection.
The toe cover provides amazing protection for your toes, but it provides better support when you are picking up your foot. This really helps if walking on sand, mud, or in water where too much pressure is put on the thong and could break your sandal. Also, these shoes are quieter than regular flip flops because the front half of your foot is snug, and it’s only the back that may make a “flopping” noise. Yet another advantage is that less sand (and rocks) get under your foot compared to regular flip flops because of the front toe protection. Finally I love this style (Barbados) over the Waimea because these are softer on the feet. The Waimea are harder and better for hiking or more rugged conditions.I wore this style for years before Keen stopped making them and now they brought them back. I have worn so many of these through the years and I have gotten so many positive comments towards how they look. Since my first pair, I have refused to ever buy a regular flip flop again.

Keen Sandals are comfortable and hide your nasty big toe
I love Keen sandals. They protect your big toe of which most of us have an ugly or misshapen one. This makes your feet look beautiful! Everyone comments on these!
