This was once rated as the best by Cooks Illustrated and it is exteremly reasonable in proce. Yes, it's not clear, yes, it's imitation, but the flavor in baked good and espeically the britttle I make for a dog rescue fundraiser every year, this can't be beat. A great value and the best flavor.

Taste like real vanilla to me. Very economical! I've bought it before-will continue to purchase.

I've been using this brand of imitation vanilla flavoring in my baking for a few years now, and honestly, I can tell no difference between it and real extract. Several years ago, "America's Test Kitchen" conducted a taste test on a range of natural and artificial vanilla extracts and flavorings, and this particular product scored "Highly Recommended." Some of the tasters actually preferred this artificial brand to any of the real extracts. The price is hugely lower than real vanilla extract! While I reach for this bottle most often in my baking, there are a few (only a few) recipes where I choose to use real extract where vanilla is the dominant flavor (i.e. Vanilla ice cream). I'm so glad to have found Baker's Vanilla Flavoring here, on Amazon, because I haven't been able to find it in any of the local grocery stores lately. THANK YOU, AMAZON!

I’ve used this product for years; it’s an excellent source for strong, up-front vanillin and for high-heat applications that would fry the volatile compounds in a vanilla extract. I’ve also mixed with pricy vanilla to boost the flavor. I wouldn’t use it for cream patisserie, but it rocks in caramel.

These are great and cheap! My only concern is that one arrived broken, but they sent a replacement. Much cheaper than buying real vanilla extract, and no one notices the difference!
