Very sturdy, metal bottom and metal brushroll
I bought this elsewhere and had mixed feelings about it. Very sturdy, metal bottom and metal brushroll. Quality seemed fairly high.But, it is heavy. My daughter had a bit of trouble using it (she loves to help vacuum).The plastic connection to the wand isn't the best - really easy to disconnect by accident - e.g. vacuuming under a coffee table, it is too easy to accidentally catch the large wand release button. When carrying this out of the laundry room, I accidentally bumped the wand release and this released the powerhead onto my foot. I had a massive bruise on my toe for a few weeks. I thought I broke my toe.The hose that you use for this wasn't that good - really stiff and hard to coil, heavy, and the handle leaks a lot of air where it connects to the wand - giving you an annoying sound when vacuuming.It's too bad - this could have been great with a better wand / handle design. I also would have given this 5 stars if the handles fit regular central vac electric hose handles instead of the proprietary one just for the CPB-100.
