Good stuff
I tend to listen to all genres of music, (never really got into Country though) and while I don't listen to a lot of different Rap/Hip Hop artists, I do really enjoy Lil Dicky's take on rap. As with most of his fans I stumbled upon him on Facebook via YouTube when someone posted some of his first music videos. Then of course followed his page and kept an eye on his kickstarter. With things like YouTube, and Pandora internet radio and the like I hardly buy CDs anymore, but when it comes to new artists, or long time favorite artists, I'll shell out the money and support them by buying their albums. So to actually review the album after a few listens I'd have to say I really enjoy most of the tracks. Only guest artist I was familiar with was Snoop Dogg (like I said I don't listen to a lot of rap/hip hop) the others seemed great too, and fit in nicely. I might not pop this in the player every day, but when I want to get the Cadillac pumping with some bass this CD does the trick. A lot of catchy tunes and some funny tracks (Pillow Talk is pretty funny)If you're on the fence about it, just check out all the YouTube videos, heck I'm sure most of the album is on there by now.

Real Deal
While his rap name might be ridiculous, David Burd's first album is a masterpiece. He intentionally flips a lot of the notions of the industry on its head and does a great job of jumping between comedic and catchy songs. The beats on most of the songs are really great as well and it adds to a great sense of production value and quality put into the product, even if the song might be about work or saving money :).I've watched a bunch of his videos and listened to his previous mix tapes and it shows a clear progression in his quality as well, which is nice. I've found funny rappers before, but his ability to deliver and his rhyming skills make the songs actually very repeatable and it doesn't feel like a gimmic, but rather a different take on subject matter used while rapping - which is very refreshing. The Pillow Talk track is probably one of the better conversation rap tracks I've ever heard and it is both amazing from a lyrics/rhythm/beat perspective and is also extremely funny. Hope to see more like LD try to break the mold a bit. Would definitely recommend.

Dude is more than just a dicky.
Very, very impressive album. I saw some of his early videos and thought they were funny but never, in a million years expected a full album, let alone a master work such as this. Without a doubt, this album is worth the money but more importantly worth the time invested to listen tonit all the way through. I am a huge mainstream rap fan and feel as if this holds up very well to the best in the game right now, not only from a lyrical and stylistic standpoint, but also from an intellectual and philsophical viewpoint as well. The CD starts strong and finished even stronger, gearing towards a hip-hop vibe with a poignant message interlaced into it. My favorite song, by far, was Pillow Talk. I would pay the full album price for that track alone. I mean for real, who Ft. Their own Brain?? Lil Dicky is funny, smart, witty, charming but most of all, he is relevant to the millions of guys like me that want something more to chew on than "trapping and yapping." If you read this DB, job very well done. You have made me a fan.

Much better than expected, and I really liked him to begin with.....20 different layers to Lil Dicky
Pretty genius to be honest. Had been listening to his mixtapes and thought he was funny but didn't know if it would translate to a full album......let alone a 20 track album. While there's a few songs I can pass over without a second thought (Pillow talk could have been completely left off in my opinion). There are other songs so well thought out and done that it's hard to even contemplate that these songs have amazingly funny and ironic lyrics to go along with them. The point made by Mr. Burd is hilariously accurate on songs like "Personality" w/T Pain, "Antagonist", and "Oh Well" ft Jace. The original list of songs that got me to buy this album still hold up (Lemme Freak, White Crime) but other more basic rap joints hold up astonishingly well too (Bruh, Who Knew, Truman). Overall amazing considering what I was expecting. Dude is really onto something......anti-rap may just be one of the only real types of rap left.

If you've never heard him give it a try! If you've been a supporter;KEEP supporting and get this.
Lil Dicky, I'v been a follower of him since about 2013 when his debut Mixtape released "Lil Dicky- Go Hard" This is his FIRST studio album featuring 20 songs and with some high profile features from Snoop Dogg,T-Pain, Fetty Wap,Rich Homie Quan and Brendon Urie. It's great. With hilarious interludes, tracks ranging from love,to his Jewish Braggadocios personality. Throughout his take on the "Rap Game" is great he has his nich and it works for him. He's made a career by combining comedy and the genuine Rap sound even including the classic auto-tune. The beats are pretty good, with hard hitting, club bangers and stoner chill back. Lil Dicky CAN rap,he CAN write, and he is hilarious. This is HIS take on the rap game and I love it. I feel this is a major improvement from his first Mixtape and by successfully funding over $100,000 via Kick Starter his fans made this project possible. I'd urge anyone to give it a try and support this project.-Lil Dicky "We taking over the rap game forever"

Lil Dicky is the best of the best
I have been a fan of Lil Dicky since he made his Kickstarter video on youtube. Not only is he a great rapper, he's real. He raps about real stuff! Yes he uses explicit language but, what rapper doesn't? I love ALL of his songs there isn't one that I don't like and his videos are great. I love how he intertwines comedy into his rapping, it just makes him more enjoyable to listen to. When people ask me what kind of music I enjoy I always include Lil Dicky and they always ask "Who's Lil Dicky?" and when I let them listen to a song they are hooked and end up buying the album too! This guy is amazing and he definitely has a drive to make it big. He is my overall favorite artist right now. I could listen to this album over and over again along with his 'So Hard' album. Love Love Love him!

Good stuff
Great album. A lot of people just assume its funny rap, but its a healthy combination of both funny and deep, meaningful hip hop music. A must for hip hop fans!
