I use this root touch-up all the time and have made several purchases already! It’s easy to apply, covers grays effectively, and lasts a long time. The color blends naturally with my hair, and it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell like some others. Definitely a must-have in my hair care routine!

I was honestly shocked at how perfect the color was.. it blended seamlessly and completely covered my grays. Just a heads up: it worked great for touch-ups, but if you need full root coverage, you may need more product than what’s provided.

I like Clairol Root Touch up in that the little kit with the dish and the brush makes it fast and easy to touch up those pesky roots in between trips to the salon or whole head colors. Clairol is the only brand that will truly completely cover my very resistant grays-my hair is coarse and doesn't take color all that well. Because my hair is very, very thick I really should use two kits and a time. The negative for me is the cost. Whether here or in the store the cost of the touch up kit is basically the same as the cost of the complete color kit. So buying two touch up kits is actually more than one full color kit, even though there is only about 1/4 the amount of hair dye in it. That's a lot to be paying to get a teeny plastic brush applicator and mixing cup. If I buy the whole no little brush applicator and a TON of leftover unused color. So, to deal with my roots I have to choose between buying the full kit (and just use an old brush) and throw half of it away or buy one touch up kit and not really get all my roots covered.

Works and is easy to use. I have been using herbish as it is cheaper in the long run and does not have the chemical feel that this does.

I like the color; it matches my natural tone perfectly. It's ashy rather than reddish, but it doesn’t fully cover the grays, even if you leave it on for over 10 minutes (20-30 minutes). It tends to mask them instead. Additionally, the color doesn’t last long, and it fades quickly, leaving the grays back and noticeable.
