Supersize me
I have had this for one day only and felt confident enough in it's abilities to take it out on a small gig with me. Of course it was a small gig.........it's a small mixer silly! It really is as small as you think it is. I have put mine into a hard drive carry case. You know the kind for a 2.5 hard drive? It just fits and still has room for my flat usb power pack and a small cable. Truly tiny! I have it powered by the small battery pack and like the manufacturers say it has such a small current draw that it hardly made a dent in the power level. With regards to power I WISH they could see fit to put an internal battery in it. I realise space is at a premium but it would make it go from cool to HYPER cool. Here's hoping. It does the things it should do and it does them rather well. No hissing, popping or crackling. Plenty enough headroom on all inputs and outputs and the 48v power works without a hitch. Impressive! I used it today with my Maui 5 Go https://www.amazon.co.uk/LD-Systems-Portable-Speakers-Bluetooth-Black/dp/B07117YY17/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1539802581&sr=8-2&keywords=Maui+5+goand it behaved impeccably with excellent sound quality. The Maui 5 was part of the reason that I bought the mixer. I plugged in via the line in. The line ins on the Maui 5 are a pig to drive and most stuff I plug in there really needs a DI box. The HART Just Mixer M though delivered like a champ. It cost a little more than I wanted to pay but I figured if it did the job well then it was money well spent. In the back of my mind I thought if it was not up to par then it could be easily sent back. I try not to send stuff back to Amazon in general. Not unless I really feel I have to and I feel that this will be a keeper. As I mentioned all parameters work well. The only fly in the ointment I could find was that it is not recognised fully by my copy of Reason 7. It has outputs but no inputs show up within the software. It works fine with Audacity but no joy with Reason so the mixer is not generally at fault. I have had this issue before though with Reason. I have the Yamaha AG06 and a driver update solved that problem. I don't know if the manufacturer will release an updated driver but my guess is this would make the difference. I have knocked off a star for the simple reason that it is a little toy like and cheap feeling. £72 is a fair amount of money for a mixer. Behringer churns out solid mixers at that price so it's not too much too ask from a basic product. Of course if you buy the same item in America then you are talking $70. It's the markup that makes me mark it down I guess. I needed something that could be easily operated by a client. It's very cleanly laid out and with such few buttons and knobs even a novice can understand how to lower the mic volume and boost the music volume if needed. A big thumbs up from me then and I shall be keeping a close eye on the JUST Mixer range from Hart. They look like they know what they are doing!UPDATE: It's such a shame. I don't use this mixer much but decided to use it recently again. I actually checked it out again a few months ago only to find that the interface side of the unit has failed. It is not recognised by my new Windows 10 computer or any of my tablets now. I thought I would give it one last doublecheck as I updated this review. Yep nothing. On the previous occasion it made a half hearted attempt at being recognised but failed to secure the connection. Thankfully the rest of the mixer seems ok as it is well out of guarantee now I guess. It really does leave a sour taste as £80 is as usual an inflated price by the time it reaches these shores. I would love to use this more as a grab and go record unit but alas no more. I think a couple of stars off is fair. For the little use I have had out of this unit it really should not have failed so early. So glad I didn't use this on a critical recording only to have it fail mid use.Approach this unit (and possibly their other products?) with caution.

Didn't work and had to return.
Didn't work and needed to be returned. I had another of their products before which worked for about 8 months before packing up.

Useful Mixer
The unit provides for mic and line mixing with echo. I like the supply of phantom power but am concerned that 2v and 48v are on the same switch. The need for an external power supply is annoying.
