This anti-sag kit works as advertised and installation was straightforward. Good purchase.

Nice kit, lifted my sagging 1" thick screen door. The first screw (from the kit) I tried to install, the head got completely stripped. Substituted my own screws, pre-drilled, and it worked fine. The world should stop using phillips head screws - go square or torx.I did not add the two screws to the bottom of the door and it still seems to work fine. The tension should keep that bracket in place and I didn't want to take the door off to install them. I have a dog door, so used an eyebolt to offset the cable so it didn't block it.

I was very skeptical that this would work but was surprised how well it worked. My dog could run right out of the bottom of the gate and now they can't. Very happy.

Only con the wire clamps are small and bigger was needed to hold cables from slipping

Took less than 10 min to install and you can see instantly the gate is not sag anymore!

I purchased product and it broke during installation. the S connections bent under pressure, the black plastic peels off the wire (bad idea), and the clips for clamping wire are too weak. Went to hardware store and bought different clamps but still not look. Do not purchase

My gate in my backyard has seen better days, the whole fence has, but I don't have the funds to replace everything right now so I am just trying to patch it until I can. The gate has been sagging more and more every year and now it's to the point where it is hard to open and you really have to push on it to open even half way. I started looking into options when I came across this set.It works by linking 2 opposite corners of the gate with cord and using a turnbuckle to create enough tension that the bottom of the gate lifts up, which is exactly what happened.The kit comes with 2 mounting brackets, that require a corner piece (like the corner on a 2 x 4 ) or an inside corner (where 2 pieces meet perpendicularly creating an L and the mount would be in the inside corner with a side on each piece of wood). I didn't have that so I had to get a little creative which took some extra time but it worked out in the end and the gate no longer drags on the ground.Takeaway:-Nice quality hardware set that would help most sagging gates.-Decent price point compared to others of the same kind ($13.99 at time of review)-Nice color, the darker color helps it to blend in more and you really don't notice it that much, which I like.-The screws are a little short, just a head's up that you might want to have your own screws on hand just in case.

It worked to help square my gate and it’s adjustable. All of the hardware is low grade. Two of the screws had the head snap off as I tightened them so for the rest I just barely tightened them. I had to drill a hole through the metal corner piece to put another screw through to secure it. Its useable but I’d look for something a little more robust next time.

This gate tensioning kit does its job well and the black accent matches my other gate hardware such that it doesn’t look out of place. Only issue for me would be the cable is covered in a plastic that strips off when cable is tensioned. My gate is 5 feet wide and the cable is potentially undersized for the tension required to correct the sag.

Seems very fragile and missing parts from the package.
