This was ridiculously simple to put together and is surprisingly sturdy considering it's just plastic and alloy tubes. Built to it's full height it is a little unstable if standing on an uneven or soft flooring. We got around this with two 15mm brass pipe mounts which secured it to the wall. No rocking, no wobbling, and no worries that it might tip over from an over-enthusiastic dog going for a walk, or human grabbing their shoes. With three of us in the house, and living in a rural area we have a number of different shoes which have, up until now, been scattered around the floor, porch and a cupboard. This item made a huge difference and has allowed my wife to organise our footwear properly, and keep it stored and tidy.Because of the nature of the parts that are used to assemble this item, you have a fair amount of choice over the size of shelving. We left one set out to create a tall area for walking and wellington boots at the bottom and left the rest for standard shoes. There are four long crossbars for footwear to sit on, and these will accept most adult shoes without problem and are close enough to have small children's shoes as well. Gaps between these rails allow for air to circulate helping with airing and drying shoes.This isn't strong enough for people to climb on, not even small people, so that really should be discouraged right at the beginning, no matter how tempting. I would recommend you buy a couple pipe clamps to secure this to a wall, but it's not essential - just added stability.Not disappointed with this purchase, and i think that it was money well spent, if only so my wife doesn't have to forever answer the "where are my shoes" questions.

i have bought two of theses rack. First one i put together no problem. Everything fitted in place easily. Looked great in my bedroom, so ordered another one as i have a ton of shoes. Second rack arrived the next day but proved to be a nightmare to put together.the poles were too big for the holes. I tried pushing and shoving and they wouldn’t go in. I went to get a wood shaver to scrap the holes bigger and a bit of sand paper to smooth the paint on the poles, then a small hammer to tap them in. By the time i got to the 4th tear i was in such a sweat i went to get my husband who is an expert at DIY. He had same problem. Both in a sweat. Eventually got it together despite poles popping out and some cursing. It’s quite sturdy now its together and my shoes are in are some sort of order. It amazes me that someone has designed this and then gets the measurements wrong.

Handy thing to store shoes. Was easy to assemble, just be careful of the end of the poles as it can be sharp. Takes up minimal space in the house and is quite stable so long as you put the poles in securely. Good value for money would recommend.

its not made of steal dont hang off it ....BUT its strong holds my Boyfriends shoes fully filled up apart from on level and he is a UK size 11 I payed around 30 uk pounds for this just under I am happy

Does not fit 3 pairs of trainers on each shelf (air max 90,95 etc) flimsy and doubt would last long.Given 3 stars as it has proven useful as a temporary store for my trainer collection

It was exactly as the photo on Amazon showed it.Easy to construct (my husband didn't curse even once)The frame is sturdy and it generally held 3 pairs of shoes per row.Obviously trainers and boots are a little wider .I've managed to free up other space by now having my shoes all together in one place.Realy pleased with my purchase

However, upon receiving the product, we were immediately disappointed as the poles would only fit in one side and were far too big on the other, making it impossible to assemble. We tried various methods to fit the poles together but nothing worked. It was frustrating and time-consuming, and in the end, we had to return the item. We were left feeling disappointed and let down by the poor quality and lack of functionality of this shoe rack. In addition, my partner's excitement turned to tears as she was unable to store her shoes and ended up falling over piles of shoes, resulting in a disfigured nose. This incident was not only physically painful but also emotionally distressing as it prevented her from going outside and living a normal life. Overall, we regretted purchasing this product and realized there are much better options available that actually work.
