Wonderful, no-nonsense hand cream. I've used it for years. Judging by the smell (slightly antiseptic) I think the formula is probably based on udder cream (I'm a farmer's daughter), which I like too, as it takes me back to my childhood! Also, anything that can keep a cow's udder chap-free has to be good!

I have used this product for several years now for my chapped hands/fingers.I work as a carer so i am constantly washing my hands.I have tried many hand creams over time and have found this product works for me.

My hands were cracked and bleeding and no matter what cream I used it did nothing to heal my hands ,my partner was going through the checkout in boots the chemist saw on the shelf while she was queuing up up and picked it up.I was sceptical when I first applied the cream but after applying the cream a few times a day for a week I could see a vast improvement in my hands all I can say is this cream works for meThe reason I bought the next two jars from here and not boots is that it’s much cheaper on Amazon

Best cream for sore dry cracked hands

This is by far the best dry skin cream I have ever used - I’ve just purchased my second pot and will never be without it. For years I had a patch of sore, dry, cracked skin on my hand that would not go away, no matter which cream I used, including those recommended by the doctor and the pharmacist. I then remembered Lotil, which I had used many years ago. Within two days of starting to use it, the soreness was easing. Now, after just a few weeks of daily use, it is healed, soft and smooth. Absolutely brilliant cream. My only quibble is that it has a medicinal smell that’s not terribly attractive, but it doesn’t linger and is a small price to pay for such effectiveness.

I love Lotil. I’ve been using it for years. It is the only stuff I’ve found that actually heals and stops the agony of the nasty little vertical cracks on thumb and finger tips that come from working outside in the winter.

MUCHÍSIMAS GRACIAS!.Esta crema la descubrí en la tienda BOOTS en Inglaterra . Hace unos años se me pelaban las palmas de las manos y no había nada que me las quitase por mucha crema que usaba. Un dependiente del BOOTS me la recomendó y desde entonces no se me pelan las manos!!. I have used this lotion for years, especially in the winter. It is the only lotion I've ever used that actually healed and stopped skin cracks in my fingers during our Minnesota winters. It's well worth the $$!

Having used LOTIL CREAM for many years now I am totally convinced of the efficay of the ingredients.The use of Lanolin I applaud unreservedly if one is not allergic to it.

Very effective. Put on night before - next day - like new.Best I have found - heals and soothes w/o being greasy or too smelly.Used it for a long time. Made in England - once - don't know now.Great for dry - rough skin.Recommended.
