Not much to say about this. It's a good cover and does what it's supposed to. I only hang dry in case of shrinkage and that works just fine. $50 for a cover is kind of expensive but they're all similarly priced. I recommend going with the one your futon is supposed to be paired with. You can bet they designed it in a specific way to be slightly off if combined with a different one. I should know because that's what I did to save $20.

I bought a futon cover to keep the MIINA futon clean.When I checked the review of this futon cover, I was a little worried until it arrived because there was a review that the size of the mattress and the futon cover did not match.However, the size of the MIINA futon and MIINA futon cover was made to fit exactly. I confirmed that it fits perfectly.I think the size mismatch is due to the combination of this futon cover with futon from other manufacturers. Also when tumbler dried, the 100% cotton fabric may shrink due to the hot air. Therefore, it needs to be naturally dried.I know MIINA's products are great. The fabric is 100% cotton and feels good against the skin, so you can sleep comfortably. You can also change the color of the sheets depending on your mood. I think that the specifications of the futon cover are indispensable for using the MIINA futon for a long time and cleanly.

I got this to cover a full-size 55"x78" MINAA Japanese futon mattress, also sold on Amazon.I washed it per instructions upon arrival and did not put in drier, as instructed. The cover does not fully cover the mattress, by about 2", so I cannot zip it closed on the long side, where the zipper is. (see photos)I just measured the shorter side of the cover, and sure enough, it measure 53" -- that's 2" shorter than advertised! I double checked the tag to make sure I had received the correct product, and the tag confirms 145x208cm (57"x82")

This is a very nice-feeling cover for your shikibuton from Miina. It's about $10 cheaper than competing brands from Japan and fits your Miina shikibuton perfectly (the twin size cover fits the MIINA Japanese Futon Volume Twin 39"×78" perfectly snug). Buying the same brand of cotton cover for me was important because I wanted to make sure it fit my shikibuton perfectly, and this was definitely the case for this cover. While it is 100% cotton and washes well (delicates, cold temperature, air-dry), I was disappointed by the color of the sheets I received and by the quality after a week of use. I ordered the ivory color but received a cotton cover that was 100% white. I didn't want white because it easily gets dirty and just didn't match the color palette of our home and guest room. After a week of use, I also noticed that some fabric got pulled despite us only sleeping on it. Perhaps a ring or piece of our tatami mat (unlikely) got caught on the fabric or perhaps 100% cotton fabrics are a bit more sensitive to getting pulled, but for the price point of this cover combined with the cost of the shikibuton, I would've liked to see this fabric be a little more durable. However, overall, I am happy with this purchase; I just recommend you be aware of potential color differences and be a little more gentle with the fabric.

I bought this mattress cover because the MIINA mattress I bought before was super comfortable and I wanted the matching cover.It fits perfectly, and the texture is super comfortable!I can see that it’s made in Japan quality, and I’m very happy that it is 100% cotton which is good for my skin.I love this brand so much.Thank you for making my sleep a great quality!!

Good sheet fit my shikibuton well, until I washed and dried them, I dried them on low heat and only for 15 mins, as I was scared it would shrink too much to fit the mattress from the same company. Unfortunately the sheet shrink a lot, not too much to where the mattress would not fit, but it is difficult to get the mattress in them now, if you do buy I would recommend just hang it up to dry as they a thin and will dry fast that way, still pretty decent just as expensive as a whole set of sheets with pillow covers

I purchased the MIINA mattress for guests to stay over at our place. I believe, in order to keep the mattress clean and tidy, it's absolutely necessary to use the mattress cover.When I checked the reviews out, there were some that mentioned how the cover didn't fit the mattress well, but for me it fits perfectly as you can see through my photos. In those cases I think the cover shrank from tumble drying. Checking in the clothing care remarks, it specifically states "no tumble drying" and I found this very helpful.Knowing this mattress cover was made in Japan with 100% cotton and high-quality material, It assured me to let my kids sleep on them.I really recommend this product because I love sleeping on this mattress that always give me a good night's sleep.
