This is alright. Not what I expected. I've had plenty of Fruit leather in my lifetime and they all have been pretty sweet. This one is salty. Weird. It's got the consistency of fruit leather or a fruit roll up but thicker by at least twice the size. There are only 5 ingredients: strawberry, apple, fructose sugar, sea salt and citric acid. The less ingredients in a food product, the better - so that's a plus. Was there a need for the sea salt? I'm gonna say probably not. Maybe they added it for preservation? I love that it's kosher - we don't eat any unclean animal foods.I can definitely taste the strawberry and apple and the salt either needs to be eliminated or cut down. As I keep eating it, it's kind of growing on me.But really? $8 for one of these? (Glad to see something made in the USA :) )

The good:- Sublimely clean and honest ingredients. "Sour cherries, apple, water, sugar, salt, citric acid"- "Product of the USA" and Old Glory boldly boldly on the package- Thick cut with a pleasant chew, a bit softer than soft jerkyThe not-so-good, which unfortunately is not the shortest list:- Perhaps it's not all the flavors, but the sour cherry had a distinct saltiness. It was perhaps as salty as it was fruity. Unsurprising when you read the next point.- 990mg (43% sodium) per serving- It is super sticky trying to remove from the package. Like sticky tape sticky. Though, it does not stick to your mouth or teeth, thankfully.- It seems pretty pricyBasically I had to remove 1 star for the value and 1 for the flavor which was too salty for me, at least on the sour cherry.
