Does what it says it will do.
Keeps the SSD Nice in Cool while it gets hot. It does exactly what it is designed to do. SSD was still nice and cold while Heatsync was hot to the touch after using the ps5 for an extended time. This is exactly what a heatsync should do transfer heat.

Remove your factory heat sink first.
It should be known. Aftermarket ssd have a heatsink attached. That has to be removed exposing the bare ssd card. At first I thought this heatsink was for an empty compartment. Obvious it wont fit with aftermarket ssd that come with a heatsink all in one. WD,Seagate. Most ps5 ssd have that already. After disassemble of the ssd . Managed to get it installed. How i didnt realize this after i watched installation video. 4 stars for making this complicated. Simple note of"" remove factory heatsink from ssd card ""would have been nice..

Works with PS5 Pro
Fits perfectly in the PS5 pro. The SSD cover on the slim/pro are exactly the same so this works fine!

Definitely fits
I ordered the wrong heat sink thinking they were all the same. Turns out I was wrong. A lot of the heat sinks don’t specify. They all generally say PS5 heat sink. This one is definitely for the slim and it says it. Fit perfectly.

I purchased this heatsink to go with my SSD and PS5 after having purchased a different heatsink that didn't fit my SSD. The issue is that I purchased the 4TB SKU of the Western Digital SN850X. This SSD since it is a larger capacity and has more chips is double sided, meaning it has components attached to both sides of the board and is therefore thicker. Most of the other heatsinks for sale on Amazon claim they can fit double sided SSDs but I'm not sure if they actually can. This heatsink style that replaces the PS5's SSD bay door though does work with double sided drives and the SSD and heatsink fit easily into the PS5. Installation was easy and simple. Surprisingly this heatsink is the only model so far that is designed to fit the newer PS5 slim that has a slightly different SSD bay shape. I don't have any formal way to test the performance of this heatsink (ie the reduction in temperature) but I believe it is doing its job and I have played all of Alan Wake 2 and about 40 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS5 now with it installed and the PS5 has never had any issues.
