Fisch Brad Point Drill Bit Set, 29-Piece Chrome Vanadium Precision Ground Wood Drill Bits, Sizes from 1/16 to 1/2 Inches, FSF-364757

Drills arrived in a timely manner. They are extremely sharp. Unlike others, the storage box was completely undamaged and seems like it’s a decent storage box.

1st off, the shipping of this product gets a 3. It should never got ship in a plastic bubble bag. The original box for the brad bits took a little beating. However, the plastic index box survive. Once open (index box), I could tell the quality of the machine work in manufacturing. I took several bits and roll them across my surface plate for precision measuring. Of the 7 randomly check, they are straight as an arrow, no complaints at all. The flutes are absolutely smooth, if they are rough, then the bit are poor quality, period. The lands are well machined and are sharp. The company that made them, take their pride seriously. Some might gripe about the price, But you get what you paid for. The cheaper ones I got previously went out the door for scrape iron. Wasn't going to waste my time and energy in refunding. The set I got are SAE / fractional and they are hard to find in a 29pc set. The MM / metric can be found easily. Even though the world is more & metric I still use fractional bits a lot. That's my only complaint on the bits themself, otherwise highly recommended to have. Fisch make very nice drilling equipment. These are as expected. Like a previous reviewer, fisch cut corners on the storage box making it plastic. However, just happend to have a metal box that fit the fisch qty perfectly. So just a quick swap. Will update this review as needed after some use.

Drill bits look amazing, used a caliper and all bits were within manufacturers tolerances. The plastic case is terrible, it was in the manufacturers box and then in a Amazon plastic bag. Of COARSE it was broke, duh Amazon and DUH delivery people who love to toss packages to their final destination. I am home ALL the time and have witnessed every delivery from Amazon. Every driver does the toss. Not Amazon's fault that it's a junk case but what's with your delivery drivers, they are the worse out of FedEx, USPS, UPS and HomeDepot.

Solid product

For those who haven't read the description, these bits are for WOOD. They have a great pilot point and cut ridiculously fast. These bits will not cut as clean as a forstner bit, so use them accordingly. They will cut better/cleaner when spun up faster. Metal bits... spin slower, these... increase the RPM. I have never used bits that cut so fast, and even though they cut aggressively, they are controllable, and are worth the steep price. If one dulls, I'll immediately order a replacement. If you have the dough and need/want probably the best general purpose wood drill bits, don't think twice. Just be careful when handling them because they are VERY sharp.

The bit set arrived in a timely manner but the bit box was broken. On closer examination the box is a very cheap piece of crap. Even if the box hadn’t arrived broken it would not have lasted long with regular use. Very disappointed knowing the high quality that Fisch is known for with the woodworking community. Fisch if you are caring about your customers, you might as well just put these bits in a plastic bag and send them out. At least as customers we would know what to expect. At this price point you should receive a decent box with these high quality bits. It would be great if you would offer a quality replacement box at no charge.I think your customers deserve and would appreciate it.

These are high-quality bits, well worth the price. Cut like butter. Would recommend.

Vienen con un super filo, son resistentes, taladran jatoba y teca como si fuera cedro, sin quemar y casi no se calientan. Contaba con unas brocas Bosch de menor calidad y ya iba por el 3er estuche, pues al trabajar con maderas tan duras, las brocas se desafilaban y las mas chicas de 1/8 y 7/64, se amarraban y rompían, por mucho cuidado que pusiera, no podía taladrar mas de 6 agujeros para bisagra. El estuche esta bien, a secas, para la calidad de las brocas se merece un mejor estuche. *OJO*, las brocas de 1/16 a 7/64 no traen el centrador (guía, brad point). Otra cosa, es que yo las conseguí a un super precio, y hoy que decido compartir mi opinión, veo lo que supongo, es su costo regular, así que queda de ti considerar si valen la pena; yo ya tengo tiempo usándolas, sobre todo, las que tiene equivalencia en medidas métricas como la 9/32 y sigue cortando como el primer día. Subo vídeo. Espero mi opinión te sea de utilidad :)😉

Hope the drill bits are better quality than the box they are stored in. The plastic box is far below the standard expected from Fisch. It was already cracked when I received it & totally fell apart the first time I opened it.

I heard about these on Stumpy Nubs YouTube channel. He is correct. They are excellent.
