This is a very different nutsert tool. If you have used a wishbone type of riveting tool, you'll have to learn a new way. This is a ratcheting tool, it works differently. Takes a bit of a learning curve, but easily learned. Test a rivet or two first on a blank piece of metal. Well built, heavy duty, tool itself is heavy. Nice thing is it can be used in tight places. Odd thing is the nose cone, has two opposing flats for a wrench to assist in removal, but no wrench included. All it needs a flat open end 20mm wrench, but they are not common. I did find a flat, short one online, but they should include one. Nice case, pinned hinges, has large area the for rivets. Would like to see the case with independent sections for the rivets instead of cellophane packs. There is storage in the lid for all the mandrels, very snug in their respective slots. Large, clear, size markings on the end of the mandrels.Instruction sheet could be written better, had to guess at a few things. The manual is 4 pages, with the last two being blank. They could include a chart on what drill size to use for each size of rivet included with the set, and thickness tolerances of the material being riveted to. The instructions indicate a scale on the tool, it took some very close looking to find a tiny scale, a decal that cannot not be seen while using, supposedly to help set the stroke of the tool. Really, you have to trust “feel” to get it set right. Yes, it can work with aluminum nutserts.Overall, good tool for the money, would recommend it to any mechanic & sheet metal worker.

Super Easy to Use! It took me a little while to learn how to ratchet the tool properly. I scrapped 2 rivnuts practicing. But once you know it you know it, and it works like MAGIC! Installed 16 stainless 1/4 20 rivnuts for a rv vent day I received tool. A couple things to know. I used a 23/64 drillbit for holes. Rivnut needs to slip through hole but does not need to fit tightly. The tool's mandrel will draw the rivnut tight to the stock. I just ratcheted the handle closest to workpiece counterclockwise like I observed in a you tube video. You need to tighten everything up against the workpiece before you start ratcheting.

I recently purchased this product to drill holes and install rivnuts to mount a hitch on a tubular steel frame on a zero turn mower. It worked well. My only complaint is the short handles could make it a bit challenging to set some rivets if they were made of a harder metal due to the tool's limited leverage. Overall a good product for the money.

Fits better in tight places than squeeze style, built much more sturdy. Have used it quite a bit and no problems so far

In my opinion, This works better than the wishbone type rivnut tool, it gets into tighter areas and is a more compact ratchet type tool. Not big and bulky. It is a bit of a learning curve to set up the first time but well worth it. Great value for this as it comes with all the collets and tons of rivnuts inserts both sae and mm sizes all the way up to m12 for bumpers etc. you can always get extra inserts and use stainless steel inserts purchased separately. What makes this great is that Everything comes in a nice compact size box that fits in your tool box as opposed to those other huge wishbone units most have to hang on a wall or takes up too much room in your tool box drawer. It is well built and not one of those elcheapo kind of tools.

Quality si for the price and the design for how it applies the nut cert is ideal over the "winged handled" version.
