This shovel is awesome! I kept finding new things that it does. Really easy to put together. Pretty excited to take it snowboarding and camping. Comes with a useful carrying bag and a protective sleeve for the shovel itself. Not entirely relevant but it’s packaged in a really pretty cool box. Great product!

I just got this shovel and honestly I love it already. It's solid and hefty and well designed. It's not only cool it's functional. I can't wait to actually take it out and put it through the paces. It's basically a solid shovel and multi-tool in one. Since the extension bars are hollow you could even add to it. Maybe some fishing line and lures or some paracord or waterproof matches. Whatever you can think of to personalize it to your needs. This would be perfect for camping or to add to a survival kit if you're into that kind of thing. It really is well designed and the more I look at it the more functional I realize it is. It is a little heavy, it'd do fine on a hike, but if you're looking for something to take on a long backpacking trip it might be too heavy. It's light enough to easily be used to dig a hole or swung to use the axe function, but heavy enough that you can tell it's solid and can take a beating.The bag it comes in is a bonus too. The shovel quickly and easily breaks down and fits inside and it has a strap for shoulder carry and a large, well stitched loop for belt carry.I'm impressed. For the price I couldn't be happier.

I gotta say I found this humorous. I get home from work and this product is waiting on me. I open it up and my wife says, "what and the heck are you going to do with that? You don't need anymore cheap stuff around here." So I put it together and was remarking on the quality, benefits, and features. She was like yeah yeah yeah right! So I passed it to her, and within one minute of holding it and looking it over, she asks," can you order three more for the boys?" I was like yeah yeah yeah! Anyway I took it outside chopped a couple arm sized limbs no problem, dug a one foot square hole, and just generally abused the little shovel. Impressed with everything about this product. And yes I did just order three more for the boys.

If you need something that is not crazy expensive then this is your mutli tool. Works perfect for my for moto camping, I have used it to dig out some mud when I get stuck (rare Occasion, lol). The fire starter does its job, although it could be a little thicker, I sharped the shovel edge (I recommend if you plan to so some very light chopping. I also like that I can use it for self defense when I am out in the woods Solo (i have never had to use it, but it give me piece of mind.The quality is good for the price and the threading on the expandable tubes feels solid and does not wobble around. I do wish the saw was a longer, I use it to cut steak when I grill in the bush.

This tool has great multi-functionality and the quality seems legit. Got it for my fiance's car for emergencies. Not sure if I would use this item on a regular basis because the tools it has I also have the actual heavy duty tools for camping so this thing is not as heavy duty. Don't go trying to use this thing like regular axes and shovels, I'd imagine that after a few heavy swings that things will start failing. As for use in a pinch or a survival tool, it's good to have available because of the selection of accessories. All the sharp edges are sharp out of the box but I question the metal quality and probably won't hold an edge after some use.

For being a segmented shovel this one is plenty strong. Fantastic shovel head with serrated and sharp knife edges. Flint and steel work great. I wish the saw blade could stay connected to its piece when screwed in. I keep this disassembled anyway and in the cargo pouch of my Jeep. Glad I have one with me always now.

I forgot my ax when I went camping and luck for me, I threw this “Shovel” in my backpack. I haven’t used it to dig anything but it sure did chop wood with no problem. It rained the night before and wood was wet and needed to split them. Did the job with not a lot of effort. Only had it for a couple of months so can’t comment on durability.

I love the locking mechanism its by far one of the strongest. The shovel handle is also just the right size fully extended. I hate the shorter ones because you cant really dig with them, this is one handy ass shovel.
