I'm looking for something like this for the arm of my recliner. Too small?

Much too small in area to be of any use especially on a recliner and mine is a small recliner. I am sending them back.

Will this fit the Coleman Lay-Z-Spa?

The brackets are able to expand to hold on to anything the size of the Intex and anything slightly thicker. I can't say if it fits the Coleman we are using it on the Intex

Can this be used on the side of an above ground pool?

Yes!! It fits on our 27ft round above ground
