The best "budget" 3mm wood I've found yet
There's some minor warping, as will happen on any 3mm boards. Some warping could be prevented by packaging them in smaller groups of shrinkwrapped sets (e.g. 36 could be 6 shrink-wrapped packs of 6). Instead, these are packaged all together in a cardboard box with no shrinkwrap. But overall this wood cuts like butter -- I haven't had any flareups yet -- and the color is noticeably warmer (and marks better) than other cheap basswood I've found. This will be my go-to for "bulk" wood going forward. The surface veneers also have a beautiful grain.

Great boards and not warped
These are the first pack of birchwood I have purchased that are not warped! Packaging was nice and so far all of the boards I have used in my laser lay perfectly flat! Will definitely be back for more soon!

Poor Quality Material
Unfortunately, the product that was delivered was very different than what was advertised on the amazon listing. The first issue was that nearly every board in the pack of 36 were warped. I think this was due to the fact that the pack of basswood came in a cardboard box and was not wrapped in plastic inside the box. This of course allowed the wood to absorb lots of moisture as it was being shipped.. Also, since it was not bound in any way, it was allowed to twist. The second issue, which is more of a problem, is that this material is not suited for laser cutting. In manufacturing, they must have used some type of glue that the laser cannot penetrate. The result is many failed jobs because portions of the design does not cut all the way through. I tried several sheets from the top, middle, and bottom of the pack. I had the same results. Both the warping and inability for a laser to cut through the material makes this product unusable. , however the product title says that the material is for laser engraving and cutting.

Very happy!
These were exactly what I ordered! One out of 36 is a little warped, but the rest are perfect. I will definitely be reordering!

Wood was warped
The wood itself was clean cut with few blemishes so easy to work with, however every sheet is so warped that you can't get it to sit flat. This creates a lot of problems if you are doing fine work such as cutting out intricate details.

Great when fresh from the box, but they warp if left loose
I enjoy using these sheets to make templates for my leather work, as well as small boxes and scale models for room arrangements. I like the clean quality of the sheet's surface, and have only noticed an occasional void that, luckily, didn't present a structural problem. My biggest issue is the warp. Fresh from the tightly packed box, these lay very flat and are a joy to use. But once a few sheets are used and the stack becomes loose, the boards start to warp. The warp can be corrected with steam, but it's a major loss of time and general PITA to have to do this each time I want to laser cut a new item. And like many steamed items, unless there is reinforcement to ensure proper alignment, there is a chance the board will try to twist again and return to its relaxed state. Will I buy this pack again? Yes, probably, because the surface is very nice, and the few flat items I laser cut - mostly templates and display signs for vending - won't be affected by the twist.

Consistent quality
I've been using this wood for over a year now. It is the best value and always great quality. Occasionally there are some boards that won't cut or are too warped but that's a rarity. Definitely recommend this item for all of your laser needs.
