The ones they are trained to use in salons are pencils, because there is a different result. Pencils have a wax base,and as they are run over the skin will leave a line that is a waxy residue. Every time the pencil runs over it or by it that waxy residue builds up, eventually getting thick enough for lipstick.Of course,every now and then you have to sharpen the pencil so it operates properly.I don't know if a marker will mark the skin each time,also eventually making it thick enough for lipstick.
