Can anyone explain why the Product Dimensions are listed as 27 x 23 x 9 inches? Trying to determine if the 27 should be 17 or 18

the dimension of 27x23x9 are the box dimensions for shipping the product. the actual sink dimensions are 17x22x6 1/2" deep.
