Function Button: 1.Make sure clean and sterilize the 304 stainless steel probe before use by cleaning in hot water. 2.Turn the unit on with On/Off button on the face of the unit, the unit has an auto off feature that will turn the unit off after 10 minutes to save battery life 3.Select either Fahrenheit or Celsius using the button marked C/F on the face of the unit. 4.When ready to test, insert the probe into the food at least 1 inch, making sure that the tip does not touch bone or fat, the LCD will stabilize after about 8 seconds 5.When the digital display stabilized, press Hold button and the temperature will be held on the display( the letter H will appear), Press the “Hold” button again to release this feature. 6.The Unit is equipped with and automatic Max and Min temperature feature. By pressing the Max on the face of the unit, you will see the max registered temp. By pressing the second time, you will see the Min temp registered, press again to clear the unit. Press the Max for 3s to clear the Max and Min memory. 7.To calibrate the unit, press the calibration key on the face of the unit and “CALL” will display on the LCD of the unit. Place the probe into water at a known temp( either an ice water bath or boiling water). To increase the temperature, press the “C/F” key and the temperature will increase in degrees. To decrease the temperature, press the “ Hold” button. When the temperature is calibrated, press the calibration button to release the feature.
