Instructions to how to paint re very good. But paper quality is poor.

I looked at many options and this one is a clear winner. Beautiful hard cover. Pages full of tips, examples, instructions plus pages with flowers, animals, etc to paint. You can do your thing or copy the finished one on the adjoining page., Great for beginners. Excellent gift, hostess gift, someone recuperating, etc.,

Love everything about this book. I have all of The Mint Gardner's books - Sarah Simon. Love each one of them. I am just starting out in watercolor, having instrution and outlines to paint in one book allows me to learn and do at the same time. Lessens the confusion and struggle with drawing and watercolor paper selection while learning to watercolor paint. Outlines are fun to paint. Brings a sense of accomplishment learning watercolor techniques and practicing the techniques on scrap paper and in the book. I have trouble with water to paint ratios and mixing colors - by this 3rd book, I am getting the hang of it! I can't say enough about Sarah Smon's lovely drawings and easy-to-understand and follow instructions. She put a lot in this watercolor workbook for those who want to learn and master watercolor painting. I am 70 years old, still working full-time, watercolor painting has brought so much joy! I will proabaly never be good at drawing so appreciate the lovely drawings to paint.
