Amazing through hole solder remover station. I have not used the solder station side as I have many but this is far better than the Anesty desoldering station that I have purchased two of two years ago. The anesty unit is no longer available and the DIC SC-7000Z Desoldering Tool with its compact pistol design is too hard to find and a bit of a PITA to clean and maintain.This guy will heat up in about 2 minutes on 120 volts and has a warning that is is not ready yet AND the pump will not pump until it has reached setpoint.As for continence and ease of cleaning, I will work on this but it seems the best way may be to use a small propane torch to heat the solder blob and tap the built up solder off the spring.The power is spot on as is the functionality as the pistol is comfortable to MY hand AND the vacuum pump is the strongest I have used to date.I repair boards and probably replace close to 100 components per week so I feel my word is pretty good AND at this price, I will buy a spare to back this one up so I can find/fix this one when/if it plugs up.

Works as it should, soldering iron heats fast and solder gun works perfectly! Comes with extra parts and I use it daily.

I purchased this back in January as my first ever soldering/desoldering station. Out of the box, it works beautifully and feels very nice. The temperatures seem to measure accurately, and it warms up quickly, especially the soldering side. I have no issues at all with the soldering side of the station. 5/5 there.The desoldering side is nice but has some caveats. You have to be absolutely obsessive with cleaning it out after every session, or even mid-session if you're soldering for a long time. If you don't, then old solder will harden and get stuck in the nozzle, becoming an insane PITA to unclog. A pro-tip I learned is to always keep the longest pin/poker that comes with the set handy. After every 3-4 traces you vacuum up, take the pin and slide it in and out of the front of the desoldering gun a few times while holding down the trigger.I wouldn't want to use this thing if I was more than a hobbyist. It seems like during extended sessions it tends to start overheating and just feels less reliable. Look elsewhere if you are going to use this for more than a couple hours a day a few times a week.Parts are easy to find and the Yihua customer service, although with some slight language barriers, has always been very responsive through the Amazon messaging system. I would happily purchase this again.

Worked well. De-soldered a 72 pin module in an EV dc-dc converter without damaging the module or PC board.

Out of the box I got the dreaded SE error. Never worked. The sucker or the base is defective.returned after not getting any response from the manufacturer.There is too many people on here having the same issues. I guess I am lucky mine was defective out of the box so I could return and not lose out my money.do yourself a favor and pass on this manufacturer and there is zero product support. Zero customer contact.

Five stars... hands down. Makes my job of guitar amp repair ten times easier! The soldering iron instantly heats up. The desoldering gun is magically efficient. Easy-to-use, accurate, individual controls for each tool. This tool is an engineer's/technician's dream. Highly recommended.

A recent purchase based on the nice feature of having a desoldering station built in. Unit was small and works well and really enjoy having the electric desoldering vacuum pump over using a wick or mechanical pump. But the main reason for purchasing this, the desoldering tool, was quickly an issue as it has failed. The small tube which the old solder flows thru to enter the holding vessel became plugged up with solder that cooled. none of the tip cleaners provided would clear it and after using the cleaning tips rather then clearing the tube, the ceramic interior shattered, rendering the tool now junk. Thankfully they do offer replacements, most likely since they no they fail quickly.My advice is if you buy this unit be prepared for the desoldering tool to fail.

Have only tried the de-soldering iron. It did the job but somehow not quite as easy as the slick videos. However really disappointed to find that once I got set up I had a great selection of de-soldering tips but the soldering iron only comes with a fairly large chisel tip. Another reviewer has pointed that out, wish I had seen it before I purchased this unit. Always find it irritating when for the sake of a dollar or two, a manufacturere cheaps out on some part of the package that is otherwise reasonable. Also they could highly recommend adding a set of compatible solder tips to you basket on purchase of this item. Not I have to find the right solder tips and wait for my order to arrive. Just spent an hour looking for 902 series tips, not easy to find. Ccould only find WEP brand. Adds $15 to my total outlay, and 2 day wait, that sucks.
