Great Movie,exciting,realistic in terms of the technology on show,a believablem problem situation,and a first class cast,including the captivating,but not seen too often,Sean Young.As a storyline,it doesn't stray far from its "big sister" movie,"Top Gun",full throttle highly competitive characters,a Training course to ensure excellence,prior to decisive .Combat,and like "Top Gun',we even get a slightly stormy romance,,albeit with a much more interesting young lady between the sheets!The real stars of this film are the Helicopters,the aerobatics are incredible,and if you ever wondered how far you could push a helicopter,wonder no more,just watch the action in this film! I used to think "Choppers"were the poor relations of Fast,Fixed Wing Aircraft,but thats a fallacy!! For the low level dirty work they get to do,they're light years ahead of the Jets,and as their firepower is truly awesome!If flying movies are your thing,just buy this one,and you won't be disappointed!

A great action-pack film starring Nicolas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones, both of whom will later be in great films making them legendary actors. It film is almost like Top Gun but using helicopters and it is more tense when the bad guys they are fighting against appear to be drug dealers. This movie has a very powerful storyline and it is all about keeping your cool in combat and friendship amongst the fellow fliers. I remember seeing this film on TV some years ago and I will never forget the air-to-air combat, which were popular with films like this one of the era. I did not see it again on TV later on and therefore decided to get this movie on DVD when I noticed that it was being sold on Amazon. Having watched it, the memorises started coming back and like last time, it is great all the time. This DVD has no extra features but it does not matter and although not as well known or liked as much compared to Top Gun and Iron Eagle, it is still a great film to see as you may never see any other film similar to this nowadays.

This must have been made right after they watched Topgun. It has almost the same storyline but rotor beats fixed wing and the bad guy gets it in the end> It just goes to show that druglords can't win and good triumphs over evil !!!!. There are a couple of decent actors in this film but I think that Tommy Lee Jones and Nicolas Cage must have been conned into doing this film as they usually star in far better films. A good film to watch with the kids but not much else about it.

Another classic military fantasy film of my youth, with a young Nic cage getting some revenge on the nasty communist mercenary supported south american drug lords that killed his comrades, whilst show boating 'americas deadliest military killing machine''I AM THE GREASTEST' and womens panties on your head

Remeber watching this when Sky first came out. Got played to death by sky but I loved this film. been looking for it for a while on dvd format and am glad I found it. Such a cheesy film but considering this, the aerial Apache scenes make up for this. not exactly Oscar winning acting but still a great film
