We are both 60+ seniors and we both enjoyed the movie immensely. I'm grew up on the "Silver Age" of comics, mostly DC with the occasional Spidey, Submariner, Hulk, Iron Man, & THOR.. WOR, Channel 9 in New York used to run a Marvel series back in the late 60's and I loved 'em (You can watch them on YouTube). As a matter of fact this was the show that created the great Spidey theme song that even The Ramones covered. "Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can..." is a tune that I still sing to this day. Getting back to the subject at hand - "Thor: Ragnarock". Chris Hemsworth is charming and extremely likeable and that is what makes this movie work so well. It's a special something that even Downey Jr. doesn't have. While RDJ is likeable, his charm seems to be slightly forced. It’s not as comforting as Hemsworth's charm seems to be. I'm a hetero through & through yet I have to admit to having a wee bit of a bro-mance with CH. As a child of the 60's & 70's I prefer Hemsworth's Thor with the long locks. I mean when you think of Thor, you think of the Hammer and the long blonde, Scandanavian locks but he's so handsome he could have a freakin' Mohawk and he would look amazing. I'm not a huge Mark Ruffalo fan and while he has done a good job with his run of the Hulk character, when he is in the David Banner "mode" (for lack of a better term) is cerrainly the weak link of all the main character. Though it's in the Hulk form where he really shines. The one and only unique Jeff Goldblum is as quirky and charming as always - even whilst playing a villain. As usual Tom Hiddleston's Loki is frustrating. Though, this is not a knock on Hiddleston - on the contrary. I say frustrating only because of his likeability as an person makes you wishing he was always one of thd "good guys". I don't want to add spoilers so that's all that I'll say about Loki. Idris Elba as usual is magnificent as is Cate Blanchett, who is almost unrecognizable as Hela. She's the actor that Streep use to be. Tessa Thompson who I became of aware of in "Creed" where her quiet sensuality almost stole that movie was another bright spot in a movie that had many. What really pushed this movie to the top 5 of my favorite super hero of all-time - ironically - was the COMEDY! Yes, I said comedy. I went to see this weeks after it had hit the theatres so there was my wife, myself, & two guys in the theatre...an that was if! Well the four of us were belly laughing throughout the entire movie. Even during most of the many action scenes. Laughter is what will always come to mind when I think of "Thor: Ragnarock", knee-slapping laughter. Review: Great Movie: Very Few Negatives, Definitely worth buying, contains, contains Blue-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy. - One can definitely see how Thor's time on Earth and around the genious comic timing of Tony Stark, has introduced Thor to sarcasm and quick witted confidence. I have watched the 3rd installment several times over and still find myself laughing out loud throughout the entire movie as if it were the first time. I enjoy the subtle, dry, sometimes dark humor that runs throughout the film, while still getting goosebumps during the more serious events, fight scenes, serios character interaction, etc. I believe Loki' s character, while still invoking his mischievous character at times, has evolved greatly, with some forward thinking and control from Thor as he no longer falls prey to Loki's tricks so easily. Thor vs. Hulk, instant classic character interaction. As Hulk has developed conversational skills just enough above the expected "SMASH" gives greater depth to his character and interaction amongst the others, Mark Ruffalo does a great job at portraying the duality of Hulk' s constant internal struggle. Hela portrays a formidable opponent. Korg rocks, literally. Definitely a character I hope to see more of even if Tails doesn't direct again, however he makes a great tribute to the comic book artistry, Sakaar, including allusions to Planet Hulk, and the Tournament of Champions. While I haven't been the biggest fan of Jeff Goldblum lately, he does pull of the role of the Grandmaster well. Only possible complaints include the very fast pace of the movie, possibility of greater character development. Outtakes are funny and extras interesting, however, maybe too much emphasis on the Grandmaster. However definitely worth the purchase, super funny, Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song" was a great touch and I hope for more great music in future movies. Potential spoiler...One thing was a little strange at the end of the film... During the credits, ...how was Heimdal unable to see the massive ship of Thanos approaching the Asguardian Vessel? I mean if he can see everything in the universe, one would assume he would have noticed such a massive ship approaching. Also the arrival of the vessel does not bode well for the Asguardian Vessel and it's passengers, likely to unfold in "Infinity Wars", probably in a very negative opening battle scene. P.S. If you hate spoilers as I do, especially negative ones, avoid future scenes on you tube.

Love this film!
The best of the three Thor films. We saw it three times in the theater, since we kept taking relatives and friends to see it. I liked Ragnarok this better than Black Panther (although BP is a very good movie too, I don't feel like I need to go see it more than once in the theater). There's something fun for the kids in this and the humor and characterization is still more than ample enough to entertain adults as well. Very good fight scenes and an amazing job by the cast and director. Hela is he**-a-scary. Cate Blanchett really nailed the first female super villain in a Marvel movie. Thor really comes into his own. Valkyrie is an amazing character that I look forward to seeing more of. And of course, the incomparable Loki, who still remains a favorite character of mine, and I'm happy to see is still treading into the side of good as much as he enjoys skipping through the mischievously naughty side. Despite all the impressive characters and actors (including Anthony Hopkins and Karl Urban), I'm pretty sure that Jeff Goldblum stole the show as The Grandmaster. Definitely worth owning. The bonus content is great too

Easily one of the better entries in the MCU. A perfect mix of humor, action, and a great storyline, as well. More importantly, this can easily be considered as a reference quality 3D disk. I have no idea whether is it was all converted "in post", or whether the VFX were generated as native 3D, but however it was done, it just continuously depicts a solid feel of depth, and there are plenty of individual moments/events where the film makers exploit 3D to have something flying toward the viewer. Again, just a whole lotta fun to watch, and definitely a presentation that you will enjoy re-watching (and showing off to friends, if you have a good quality 3D set).
